Breeze Litter System Discontinued? Still Available Plus Get Free Shipping!

Is the Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System Discontinued? Well, I was beginning to think so, since out of the three Walmart stores in our area only one of them had the Breeze Litter System in stock. This got me wondering whether or not it had been discontinued.

While some of your local stores may not have it in stock, have no fear. You can Click Here to save money on the Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System at Amazon.com.

Set it up with the Amazon Subscibe and Save program and you'll never have to worry about running out of the Breeze Litter again.

Cheaper than Walmart?

breeze litter pelletsIt's true. After checking both Walmart.com and Amazon.com, the price of the complete Tidy Cat's Breeze Litter System is more than $3 cheaper at Amazon. Not only that but the pads show as "out of stock" at Walmart and I couldn't even find the pellets on their website.

Although Walmart may still carry the Breeze Litter System, pellets and pads in limited stores, at least for now, they are not a reliable source.

Save 15% on Breeze Litter Pellets and Pads

The Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System is great but you'll have to have a constant supply of pellets and pads. The only Walmart here that had the pellets and pads seems to have stopped selling them. Amazon.com seems to be the only solution for me right now. This might work for you and save you some money, too.

Here's what I did. I purchased the Breeze pellet refill 6-pack with Amazon's Subscribe and Save program. The 6-pack is normally $48 but with Subscribe and Save I'll pay under $41 plus FREE shipping. Amazon will ship this amount to me every 2 months. You can set it up for a different schedule if you want. You can have it shipped every 1 month, 2 months, 3 months or 6 months. For me every 2 months should do it.

I also ordered the Breeze litter pad refill 10-pack. Each pack has 4 litter pads in it so this is a total of 40 pads. Normally this would have cost me $47 but with Amazon Subscribe and Save I'm paying just under $40. I set this up on a 3 month shipment schedule.

Amazon's Subscribe and Save gives you a 15% discount, so for me that's a great deal. I love saving money and as long as they keep making the Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System I plan on using it with my cats. If you have the Breeze litter system or are thinking about getting it, I believe this is a great way for you to save money on it, too.

If you find a better deal, please go to the comment section on this page and let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.

The Breeze Litter System and my Kittens

Our new kittens took to it right away

Just about a month ago, we went to the Cat Depot rescue center here in Sarasota, Florida to finally adopt some kittens. Both of our adult cats were killed in the previous year and our daughter has been wanting a pet very badly. She originally wanted a dog but since I knew that I would be the one responsible for taking care of a pet, I convinced her that we needed cats instead.

We were able to find two adorable kittens at the Cat Depot that we all could agree on. We chose a black girl kitten named Onyx and a white male kitten name Dinero.

My previous cats were outdoor cats so I never worried about litter before. They always used the great outdoors as their cat litter box.

Since our new cats will be indoor cats, I wanted to find the best litter box available. I looked at a lot of different products online but settled on the Breeze Litter System from Tidy Cats because of the really great reviews.

Even though I was pretty confident in my choice of litter, I wasn't sure how my new kittens would take to it. As it turns out, it didn't take long to litter train them at all.

We have a really big house, so we decided that the kittens would stay in our master bathroom for the first few days. We took the kittens straight to the bathroom after arriving home with them. We introduced them to the litter box immediately. They didn't do anything right away but at least they knew where it was.

The whole family stayed in the bathroom getting acquainted with our new companions. It didn't take long for the first kitten to hop right in the litter box and do the business. Needless to say, we were happy.

I found that the pellets are washable. I use medium bleach water and leave the pellets soak for a day, then rinse them and let them soak in clean water for 2 days and then put them on a screen to dry. You will have to add new pellets as some get destroyed or lost. But this saves purchasing new pellets each time they need to be changed.

I've never washed them and re-used them myself, but I have heard of others who do that. Thanks for sharing.

For the woman who said her cat is peeing outside the box ... older cats will change their behavior. I don't know if the pellets have changed - you could probably find out through the Breeze website (they have a number you can call with questions). Make sure there's nothing else different in the place where the litterbox is. Have you moved anything into the room? Using any new cleaning products? Changed the floor surface? All these can make a difference.

If you find nothing works, there is another system similar to Breeze called the Smart Cat Box. It uses safflower seeds instead of pellets. Not sure if their size would work with the Breeze system, but the Smart Cat Box is a similar idea (urine flows under the seeds to a reservoir underneath the box). You might look into it.

Do not go to Petco for the pellets they run $14.99 for one bag. I used to get them from Albertsons for $6.99 a bag now I have to pay around $7.99 to 8.99 a bag if I want to continue with this set-up.

We have had cats for a number of years and it is always my job to clean the cat boxes. after switching the the Breeze system, I would never go back. The litter no longer gets tracked around the house, there is no dust, the cats do not have step in wet litter. And clean-up is extremely simple, just chuck the pad and scoop the poop. We were concerned when Walmart discontinued the system. I hope Amazon never does. Thanks for the update!!!

Another satisfied Breeze Litter System customer.
  • sidther May 24, 2011 @ 6:40 pm | delete
Maybe- I will have to try it! I have one cat who needs many boxes- we have a 2 story house, she is almost 15 years old and has kidney, thyroid and bladder issues. Sometimes she needs a closer one.... She needs her coxes cleaned sooo much- she pees twice an hour.... am I guessing right? Does the urine go down into the pads in the drawer thingy and the top is more for the solid stuff?
Seriously THANK YOU for this lens!
  • stacyman May 24, 2011 @ 8:00 pm | delete
You are correct. The box allows urine to pass right through the pellets into the pad underneath. That is the thing that makes the Breeze Litter System so great. The urine smell is eliminated. If you decide to get it from Amazon, don't forget to set it up on the Subscribe and Save. You'll save 15% plus you'll get free shipping. Thanks for visiting.

I love the Breeze litter system. I have had it for about 3 mos. I have 1 female cat. I can leave the pad in for 2 weeks and still no odor from the urine ever. The poop gets stinky and needs scooped every couple days. I let it dry out so some of the pellets fall off. I will never go back to regular litter again. I have had cats for 30 years. Nothing is better than Breeze for odor control and ease of cleaning. I do wish that the pellets had poop odor control though. I get my supplies at Petsmart.

Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System Review

Tidy Cats Breeze Litter Box System for Multiple Cats, 1-Count Kit

Amazon Price: $30.00 (as of 05/29/2012)Buy Now

For controlling cat urine odor alone, the Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System gets my vote but there are other reasons why we use it for our cats. Since the litter is made out of pellets which are not fine like sand, you don't have to worry about keeping a broom close to the litter box. Your cats may knock some pellets out of the box but they are really easy to pick up and toss back in. Why not give Breeze Litter from Tidy Cats a try.
