"Wilma, I'm Hommeeeeee!" After a hard day of work at the rock factory, I love to scream that once I step through the door at home. It is a good way to tell my wife that her honey bun has returned and she will also know that it is time to get my favorite tea brewing.

I think you can call me a tea addict, simply because I cannot live without this hot, tasty and delicious beverage. Making tea used to be such a task (if you want the right taste), especially some of the harder to make teas. All of the guess work and time went through the door when I spent some money and got myself the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker. If there is one investment that I am happy that I spent my hard earned money, it had to be this pretty amazing device.

Design

I am a big fan of Breville products, simply because they are designed really well, looks good and completes the intended job done with nor problem. The Breville Tea Maker has a very modern and sleek look to it. This is one device that you will love having in the kitchen, simply because it looks so nice. The tea maker has some nice illuminated buttons, which gives the tea maker a nice look, while also making it easier to create your tea. There is also a cool backlit LED display, which will indicate the temperature you are steeping the tea for, as well as how long it has be on. The LED also can show you the amount of time since you brewed the tea.

Making the Tea

I think I get so excited when it comes ot making tea with the Breville Tea Maker. The process is really amazing and I can always anticipate the really great taste of delicious tea.

This device has different settings for a variety of teas such as black, green, herbal, oolong and white. You can also adjust the tea maker in the custom mode and it is here you will be able to determine the temperature you want to brew the tea, as well as how long. If you are making any of the preprogrammed teas, you will be able to select the strength of the brew from strong, medium, or mild.

You can set it to start brewing at a given time and this is pretty cool, especially if you like to wake up in the morning with fresh tea. There is also a pretty nifty keep-warm feature that will help to keep the temperature constant for up to an hour.

The great thing about this moving basket, is that by it going up and down, it will allow the water to circulate around the tea leaves and this will result in maximum infusion.

Other Uses

This is a pretty good tea maker, but it is not just a one trick pony. You can use this as a simple kettle to boil or heat water. The great thing is that it does so very quickly. A lot of people are impressed at how quickly it is able to heat the water, oftentimes much quicker than putting it on the stove.

The different teas I have brewed with my Breville have a flavor that is out of this world! You really cannot compare Breville brewed tea with that from the tea bag, it would be like comparing a Ford Focus with a high end Mercedes Benz. If you taste the tea that comes from this device ,you are going to say it is definitely worth the money.
