Get Rid of Sewing Hassles - Buying Renaissance Clothes
One of the most difficult part with preparing for a renaissance event is planning out what to wear. The more it would not be easy if you have little idea what the right costume would be. After all, the highlight of a medieval faire is the day that people in various clad come together to have fun and show off their wonderful costumes.
I encourage you to go ahead and buy renaissance clothes for the said event as it may be too costly to have one made. I personally do this and say based on my experience with joining renaissance fairs.
Another thing you also have to consider is that sewing costumes eat most of your time and may cause you more to worry. Sure, some of you might say that buying is a waste of time but believe me, if you have a family of your own and you plan to sew a costume for each family member, then you might be taking more time than it is actually needed. Added to the fact that costumes are cheaper nowadays than they were before.
Even though if you are a seamstress, it would be better for you to buy rather than spend time doing it yourself. You will then have to buy some materials and think of a design if you decided to make one for you. It was also a pain to see all the extra fabric and thread lying all-over the floor; which would all be put to waste since I had no more intention, after all that sewing, to pursue more!
Well, if you decide to make your own costume, then think of it as a cause to sacrifice your family quality time.
In the end, I figured that my efforts to save up a few dollars, with the cost of materials in mind, the time I spent putting everything together, was more troublesome than just browsing through online retail stores and ordering a renaissance costume directly off the rack!
