Briar Hill Crestwood KY

Briar Hill is a destination for many families moving to Crestwood, KY. It is very close to East Louisville's The Summit, Old Brownsboro Crossing and Springhurst Towne Center shopping areas, but in the Oldham County School District.

Briar Hill has 3 sections.

Briar Hill Farms is the oldest section and homes are in the Mid $200's-$300's and should for the most part be on acre lots.

Briar Hill Estates has some beautiful homes approaching 15-20 years old with beautiful treed one acre or so lots. Very Nice yards and plenty of trees for Tree Swings.

The most recent part of Briar Hill Estate is a newer section with new construction and homes under 10 years old. Nice houses, lots got smaller since they are on sewers and not septic. Very nice homes in the newest section. Also, there are a few spec houses on the market that I think you could get a great deal on, let me know if you want me to email them to you.

Briar Hill Schools

Crestwood has experienced steady growth over the past several years. Oldham County Schools rank as a top school district year in and year out. Oldham County is a leader in education through out the state. With such a strong reputation that Oldham County Schools have and the proximity to Louisville, it makes Crestwood a destination for those moving in to the Louisville area or those living in Louisville wanting to get out of the city. There are several private schools in Jefferson County. Every year, I hear of parents looking to move to Oldham County for the school system as an alternative to paying for private schools in Louisville that can be quite costly.

Briar Hill Elementary age kids go to Kenwood Elementary. It is one of the newest schools in Oldham County and is pretty much on the same campus as Camden Station, South Oldham Middle and South Oldham high School, but it has a separate entrance.

The older kids filter in to South Oldham Middle School and South Oldham High School which are on the same campus.

Currently there are 16 homes for sale in Briar Hill and 2 of them are new construction. Briar Hill is a fairly good size development and in a price range that people transfer to other cities for job opportunities, there are also folks in there that have maybe been there for a while, family is grown and looking to downsize. Many life change situations are probably the biggest reason for constant inventory in Briar Hill. But if you look back, in Briar Hill there were 24 homes sold in 2010, 16 in 2009 and 28 in 2008. Looking at it from historical sales, there is less than a years worth of inventory currently for sale in Briar Hill. Hope that helps
