My brick walls are usually sudden events that slap me in the face with an unresolved issue. Anything that makes me react strongly and negatively tells me I need to look within. My favorite books soften the blow by stopping my self-criticism and reminding me that its about progress, not perfection. Any book by Neale Donald Walsch, Wayne Dyer, or Deepak Chopra will do.
