Where to find the best supplies for making bridal brooch and wedding flower bouquets

i love to make and sell theese but not everyone has the same taste....THIS IS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO make your own... finding the right supplies is first. Being a D.I.Y. bride is ALOT of work, so I have tried to make it easy for you. I had a lady contact me saying she had spent 3 weeks of faithful looking on the internet for nice flowers that matched and other pieces with not alot of luck.....long story short i made her bouquet.... she had already spent sooo much time looking and buying there was no time for her to make hers as she planned. She is the reason I created this page, I have searched the internet for EVERYTHING YOU NEED to design your bouquet and have it all shipped to your home.....
IF YOUR WEDDING IS IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS JUST BUY ONE......or contact me and i will make you one MUCH cheeper than i see them for online..BE PREPARED to spend ATLEAST 300 dollars to make a decent bouquet. Flower Brooches sell on ebay from 5 dollars to 15 dollars EACH for the better ones (you wll need ATLEAST 25 medium to large brooches and several smaller ones to fill the spaces .Rhinestone pieces can be anywhere from 3-15 dollars each for the nicer ones.Filler jewelry can vary in price depending on what you use. You can use clip on earrings, neckacles , and cluster beads earrings.
ITEMS YOU WILL NEED TO DESIGN YOUR BROOCH BOUQUET
22 gauge floral wire
,corsage tape,
wire cutters
flower and/ or rhinestone brooches
and ribbon .
These are not cheep to make, but super fun and special when you can make it all your own.

INSTRUCTIONS....... BROOCH BOUQUET HOW TO DIY

type=text1
Thread the florist wire through the openings on the back of the brooch. Each brooch will be designed differently, so you may need to alter your wiring techniques for each one. Use at least two wires for each brooch. After threading the wire through, turn back the end of the wire and twist it around itself to secure the brooch.

2
Trim the ends of the wires with a wire cutter to a length of about 12 inches, or the desired height for your bouquet.

3
Wrap a piece of corsage tape around the floral wires. Begin at the top where the wire meets the brooch. Wrap the tape around all wires attached to the brooch to hold them together. As you work your way downward, allow the tape to overlap with itself so the wire does not show through anywhere.

4
Repeat steps one and two for each brooch. For a full brooch bouquet you should have about 60 individual brooches. If you are combining brooches with live or silk flowers, you may only need about 20.

5
Gather the stems of the brooches as well as the stems of any other flowers included in the bouquet in your left hand. Arrange the flowers with your right hand until the bouquet is rounded in appearance and the brooches and flowers are positioned as desired. To reposition individual brooches, gently pluck the entire piece from the bouquet, then carefully reinsert the stem into your slightly loosened grasp in the desired location.

6
Wrap the arranged bouquet in corsage tape. This should help keep everything in place.

7
Cover the stems of the bouquet with thick ribbon or a circle of satin, secured just beneath the bouquet with a bow. This will conceal the floral tape and create an attractive handle for the bouquet.

8
Stand the bouquet upright in a sturdy vase to keep the flowers positioned correctly until it is time for use.

SPRING TIME weddings

type=text

you can do this with any colors you like

FLOWER BROOCHES are the first step

the most important pieces are obviously the flowers....... i have found ebay has the best price and selection...... next is etsy.com, great prices also but not the selection of ebay..... Decide what colors you would like done in your bouquet and get to shopping. Be sure to look closely and read the ad description to make sure there is no visible damage to the brooches (chipping of enamel, petals missing, etc.). Unfortunatly no matter how many ways i try to list the search on here i cannot get it to produce exactly what i want so if you do find a " lot" of flowers you are interested in click on the link to that ad and a great way to find more is on that ad there will be a blue hyperlink that will say SHOW SIMILIAR ITEMS

FLOWER BROOCHES

type=text

This is an example of a custom consultation photo i send to my brides... you can find brooches like this on ebay, etsy and amazon.

BEST selection of flower brooches to choose from that are offered on ebay

These searches don't always give the best selection based on keywords so you must search a few different ways and because this is for YOUR BIG DAY i am happy to search for you..... I have done a few different searches if this search is not producing enough variety click on 1 of the links to ebay that you do like then at the top of the ad you can choose to view similiar items or ebay suggestions!

Amazon also has flower brooches avalible to you

They have some beautiful pieces. Not as large of a selection as ebay but still ver nice pieces and a different variety than ebay produces.

i love black and white bouquets and think they are really beautiful, but for me i think they are the hardest to build because of color balance.

BEACH themed weddings are a big hit.

type=text

In this bouquet i used my own beach wedding for inspiration. I liked the beach but did not want it to be all SHELLY , i think this ties in the beach while still being a classy vintage piece of art... you can create a bouquet in any theme or color scheme you choose, the internet has lots of pictures of beautiful bouquets you can use for insiration... This bouquet is currently for sale on ebay.... make me an offer and mention you saw this bouquet on squidoo and i will give you FREE SHIPPING and a 5 % discount

RHINESTONES add BIG BLING

theese are awesome as space fillers and look FABULOUS to add all the sparkle you need for your big day. Rhinestone can be bought in lots but are not as cheep as cluster beads. they can be added on top of duller looking flowers or in small spaces....i would recommend buying atleast 1 pound of rhinestone scrap items from ebay..... they list them as scrap on ebay but perfect for harvesting single stones to ad sparkles

CLEAR RHINESTONES ADD BIG BLING

Loading

i like using a variety of flower sizes and shapes along with filler pieces to balance color and texture

type=text

as you can see theese are pretty from every angle so filling the spaces properly is a must (for someone who suffers from slight o.c.d)..... you CAN use silk flowers but i think the point of theese is VINTAGE JEWELRY..... but the choice is yours silk fillers are less expensive to use for a bouquet. The more i do this and see theese the more i fall in love with them. I see the prices people charge for silk flowers and think..... is there really a choice? I LOVE JEWELRY and flowers so it's silly to me to not combine the two.

FINISHING TOUCHES

ribbon is a must for the handle

last you will need ribbon for the handle

There are so many options for ribbon that i don't even know where to begin..... i guess it is based on the colors you are using in your bouquet. I prefer ribbon that is not too "busy" as i don't want to detract from the design of the bouquet or the beauty of the brides hands. Here i think less is more (and VERY ralerly do i think that)

This, and a few other are made and ready to ship , and i offer a 7 day return policy (not that i think you will want to use it, but it's nice to know)You will see that it took several pieces of jewelry to fill all the spaces but the outcome is totally worth it. The cluster beads ad so much dimension and texture.... did i mention i love clster beads..lol

    part of me thinks they are beautiful - the other part thinks they look like one of my grandmother's hideous hats ... LOL - I bet at the right event (ie the right wedding) the right one would look perfect.
