The Best Bride Speeches are Here!

Love at first sight is easy to understand; it's when two people have been looking at each other for a lifetime that it becomes a miracle. - Amy Bloom

So you've decided to get married.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

This is one of the biggest decisions in your life.

You've prepared everything...invited all the guests...But there's one thing left:

A SPEECH! In your case, a bride speech on your wedding.

On this page you'll find some of the best bride wedding speeches, including examples and tips how to make your own bride speech.

Enjoy!

3 TIPS to Deliver the BEST BRIDE SPEECH IN THE WORLD!

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. - Mignon McLaughlin

I am very serious about this. If you incorporate these things in your speech then the impact will be way bigger.

1. Tell a story

We, as human begins, love to hear stories. Tell a story about how you and your groom met or something similar connected to you two.

Choose the most interesting stories. Unexpected, surprising, funny...that's all under the category of 'interesting.' These stories make the biggest impact of all.

2. Mention the most important people for you in your speech

Imagine for a moment that you're a mother having a daughter getting married. Now imagine you're at your daughter's wedding. Somewhere in the middle of the ceremony she stands up and gives a speech. She mentions you as her greatest inspiration and gives you the kindest compliments in the world.

How would you feel? Well that's how exactly your mom, dad (or any other person) will feel if you mention and thank them in your wedding speech.

Also, don't forget your maid of honor and all the other people who support you during your wedding. Mentioning them in your speech can be one of the most memorable moments in their lives.

3. End it up with a toast

A toast to your new husband and and the wonderful event is a happy end of your bride speech.

Don't forget that this may be the most important part of the whole speech. End it up spectacularly and engage the audience (i.e. your guests). One of the best ways to do that is to make a toast, of course.

You've never done a speech before?

Marriage is that relation between man and woman in which the independence is equal, the dependence mutual, and the obligation reciprocal. - Louis K. Anspacher

Don't worry. Most brides didn't give a speech too in their entire life.

I have one advice to give you to overcome this...

PRACTICE.

Here's one practical tip:

Speak in front of people you're not comfortable with. Make a public speech. By doing this you're stretching your comfort zone and making the next speech way easier. Try this. I've told this tip to many people and it has worked for ALL of them.

Also, if you want some more practical tips & complete suite on wedding speeches you might want to check out this guide that I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend. It is available for instant download so you can get it in the fastest time possible.

Remember:

The more you practice the more comfortable you'll be on your wedding day.

Golden tip: How to express your Gratitude

wedding gratitude

In the opinion of the world, marriage ends all, as it does in a comedy. The truth is precisely the opposite: it begins all. ~Anne Sophie Swetchine

In the second tip above I mentioned expressing gratitude as one of the most important parts of a bride's wedding speech.

If you make a list of all the people to express your gratitude to...the list can be really, really HUGE.

OK, so the wedding started. You:
Thank your mom.
Thank your dad.
Thank your...

Do you see the problem? It's too much use of the word thank you! There must be alternative to this...and yes there is!

Just express your gratitude in a different way. Instead of saying thank you and repeating yourself, say something like "I would like to express my deepest appreciation" or make a remark about that person. For example: "My mom is the person who helped me...". You can also tell a story about the person to whom you're making the remarks.

You have million of alternatives, just be a little bit creative and that's all it takes...

Make your speech UNIQUE

Telling unique stories, anecdotes or throwing some humor along the way helps a lot in making your speech unique.

"Hello everyone, thank you all for coming, and for your good wishes.

"Not only have our close family and friends chosen to celebrate with NAME and I today, but family from LOCATION and as far away as LOCATION, have made a special effort to be here. Your presence is the best present NAME and I could ask for.

"There are a myriad of people whom I want to thank today. I want to say thanks to my extended family, to all my aunts and uncles, for being there for me my whole life, as well as my grandmother, NAME. A special thank you to my mother, NAME; although our time was short, she shaped my life forever.

"To NAME's parents, NAME and NAME, and DH's sister, NAME; I know you had your hands full raising NAME, but you have influenced and molded him into the man he is today, the man that I so dearly love. Thank you for welcoming me into your family, and trusting me with NAME's heart.

"What can I say about my bridesmaids, my cousins, NAME, NAME, and NAME? Well, I've changed your diapers, so you owe me! (pause) I have heard everyone say how lovely you look today, and I have to agree.

"And my Maid of Honour, NAME; thank you for being such a great source of support. You have been my sounding board and a voice of reason, not only during the wedding planning, but throughout our friendship as well. Thank you for standing beside me today as NAME and I exchanged our vows.

"Saving the best for last, my new husband NAME. (pause, turn to husband)
"NAME, I would like to propose a toast to you. My dream was to find a man who would understand me without me uttering a single word. A man whose values and spirit matched my own. If I could have just one wish, I would wish to wake up everyday to the sound of your breath on my neck, the warmth of your lips on my cheek, the touch of your fingers on my skin, and the feel of your heart beating with mine. Knowing that I could never find that feeling with anyone other than you. NAME, thank you for being you!

(turn to guests)

"And thank you everyone. I hoped it would be a perfect day, and it is. Cheers!"

bride speech

Before we started to make wedding arrangements, I was unaware that the bride made a speech. Apparently it is a fairly new thing to do.

Firstly, I would like to thank my bridesmaids, you have all done a magnificent job, and have helped me a lot today. Secondly my parents, you have done more to help me than I can thank you for. But I'll try. Thank you.

I don't want to bore you all with a hundred thank-you messages, so finally I would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped me and my now husband in making today possible.

As a girl, I dreamed about the perfect wedding. A beautiful dress, a grand church with all my friends and family around me on a beautiful day, and obviously my Prince Charming. The one thing I never banked on is that it would become reality. I always thought that fantasies were dreams that never became reality. After today I know that that is not true.

(This is a good place to add the story of when you first met. Try to include your feelings, your first impressions of your now husband, and if there were any funny moments, maybe what he was wearing or a joke he told)

(Look at husband)

John, you have made me so happy since the day I met you; you have made my life so wonderful. Every day we are together you make me feel so special and when you asked me to marry you, I knew that I would be happy for the rest of my life. The way that you make me feel I cannot begin to explain, all I know is that it is the best feeling I have ever felt. So thank you. I just want you to know that I could not possibly be happier than I am when I am with you.

There isn't much more for me to say than thank you to everybody who has helped today go so fantastically. Thank you.

Hello, everyone. I'd like to thank everyone who is here today for showing up to help me celebrate our wedding.

To my beloved groom Joe, I love you so much. You cannot imagine how happy I am to be your wife. Ever since the day you proposed to me, I've been walking on air, counting the minutes until I became your bride. Now that I have, I want to tell you that I will spend the rest of my life being the kind of wife you deserve. You're my best friend, my partner and my love, and I am honored to call you my husband.

To my maid of honor, Susan -- I can't thank you enough for all the things you've done for me! You've played such an instrumental part in the planning of this wedding -- I couldn't have done it without you! Ever since we were little girls, you've been there with your friendship and support. I remember how we used to dress up and pretend to be brides...and now I am! I love you like a sister and I'm so glad you're my friend!

I want to thank my mother and father for being the best parents a girl could ever want. I love you both so much and I am so happy you are here to share my special day. It would take me a lifetime to repay all the kindness, support and love that you have given me.

And to my new in-laws, George and Diane, I want to express how blessed I feel to become a part of your family. I love your son more than anything and will do my very best to be the best wife to him that I can be, and the best daughter-in-law to the two of you. Thank you so much for being here today and offering your love and support.

To my bridesmaids -- thank you all for being a part of my wedding. You all look so beautiful and I am so honored to have you here today. I'd like to give a big thanks as well to our ushers, as well as our beautiful little flower girl Marie and handsome ringbearer Max. You guys did such a great job!

And now, I'd like to turn things over to my maid of honor...

Good Evening or Good Evening Everyone
(or any suitable greeting you may wish to use, Trish)

On behalf of Steven and myself I would like to thank you all for joining us today as we celebrate our marriage. I know that some of you have traveled many miles to be here - thank you. We are honored to have you with us.

(or, Steven and I sincerely appreciate what you have done.)
(or, Steven and I sincerely appreciate your efforts.)

As I look around me, I am reminded of the importance of family and friends Steven and I are truly blessed in having all of you with us today to share in this joyous occasion - to witness our union and the coming together of our two families
thank you all for your support and your love.

(or, thank you all for your friendship and your support)
(or, thank you all for your friendship and your love)

I do believe that in many ways Steven and I have been moving towards each other all of our lives - we simply took a rather circuitous route
(or, indirect route)

You see, Steven and I have actually known each other since 8th Grade

I had just moved from California and we attended the same school
There was definitely something going on between us - after all, we did date each other for three full weeks - to this day, I'm not exactly sure what that dating actually consisted of - 8th Grade seems like a lifetime ago now
And, I'm certain that our children would agree that 8th Grade DEFINITELY WAS a lifetime ago!

I know that I have been blessed in the fact that our paths have been brought together once again
(Look towards Steven,Trish)
Steven, you are a strong, gentle presence in my life - always reaching for my hand, providing me with support in so many ways...

Bride Speech Sample Number 5

Dear parents, dear husband, dear friends and relatives,

You have all been so kind to me that I can hardly know what words to pick to express my gratitude for you. I was very glad to see all my close people at the today's wedding party. Thank you for coming and sharing my great day. My father's and Ricky's speeches nearly moved me to tears. My dear, thank you for your love and care, I appreciate it more than words can convey.

My family has always stood by my side, and I always knew who would help and back me up whatever the case, be it a homework in math, entrance to the university or selection of the wedding gown. I am especially grateful to my mother, my greatest friend for all times, for her understanding and wisdom. She seemed to understand me even when I myself hardly did, and could always find such words that would offer me a sound view of the situation and give hope for the better. I would also like to say thanks to my dad. For me he was always the source of stability, confidence and family warmth. Dad gave me the feeling of assurance, for I knew he would always stand for me and love me as his daughter, no matter what happened - even my first interest to IT showed up in breaking down his favorite home PC.

Joking apart, I am very grateful to my parents, because they presented me with a unique gift: the awareness that you are loved not because you are beautiful, clever, perspective or rich - you are loved as you are, and will be loved irrespective of anything.

Moreover, my parents have always been an example of a perfect wedlock for me, when two people live together every day and still have time to treasure each other's company and nurture the love that brought them together. It took me long years to come to understanding of such relationship and feel ready to start a family based on love, as you did some 23 years ago at this very altar. So I am very happy to have your example in my mind today, when Rick and I have officially linked our lives to create a family hearth.

Rick, I'd like to say again how much I cherish every day spent with you, all your support and affection. It seems to me now that I've always known him, for most of my adult life passed with Ricky by my side, always ready to accompany me, set me laughing or hug me and say how he loved me. I know that there is absolutely nothing that he won't do for me, and nothing I wouldn't do for him. He filled these seven years with an unforgettable feeling of mutual affection, and I can hardly imagine my life without his daily calls, his incessant care and his visits to my place, even if afterwards I found the freeze practically empty, and the desktop of PC full of labels to games and Internet chat-rooms. Well, what are these trifles to a true love like that between us? I love you, my dear husband, and I am fortunate to have found you. I step into this marriage with a light and happy heart, I am holding your hand fast and I know that we will overcome everything.

Lizzy, thank you for being my friend for more than ten years, and more recently - for helping me to go through the pre-marriage preparations, and patiently listening to all the wedding vents whenever they arose - even in the middle of the night, offering a piece of advice and helping to plan everything.

Thanks to the guests for coming to the party. Please enjoy yourselves and let me propose a toast to you, who share this great day with me and make it unforgettably warm and agreeable.
