Yellow Themed Wedding

Yellow is such a fun, bright color. With spring right around the corner, maybe you're in the need of a little brightening up from the winter blues. Yellow is good for home accents, weddings, parties, clothes, food, and anything else you can think of. It's the perfect pop of color to bring anything to life.

Yellow makes me think of sipping an ice cold lemonade during the intense heat of the summer and sitting poolside. I also think of my friend's wedding that I attended almost three years ago. Her colors were grey and yellow, which were very unique to her and worked perfectly. Yellow is just so fresh - I think I'd buy any bath and body product that was contained in a yellow package. Doesn't that just sound fresh and clean?

Get in a yellow mood and bring a bit of sunshine into your life with this fun color.

Yellow Wedding Ideas

From pinterest.com

You can do so much with yellow as a color for your wedding. Pair it with another color or let it run the show by itself. Either way, it will be a beautiful wedding color. There are so many ideas for weddings that you can go out and purchase. Or, if you're like me, you'll like to learn some DIY projects that will make the wedding more personal and quite a bit cheaper. Just have fun with it!

Lemon Flower Vase DIY

From pinterest.comThis lemon vase is perfect for weddings, parties, or just a center piece in your home. And it's simple and cheap to make!

Things you'll need:
-Glass vase
-Flowers
-Water
-Lemons
-Knife

This project is simple for even the craft-challenged! All you have to do is slice the lemons based on your preference. I would make sure the slices are thick enough that they won't slide around and will stay in place pretty easily. You could try just cutting them in half, but that can get a bit bulky depending on the size of the vase you're using. Once you come up with an appropriate size of slices, place the lemons in the glass vase with the pulp side out. Add water to keep your flowers alive. Then add the flowers and you're done! Personally, I would add a bow around the vase or wrap some twine around it. But that's up to you!

Wedding Place Setting DIY

From pinterest.comWarning: These will be time consuming, BUT you will have fun making them if you enjoy stamping crafts.

This table setting is simple and beautiful. The name cards add the perfect touch of a personal feel and they are a great DIY project, even for beginners.

What you'll need:
-Thick yellow paper
-Cream/white place cards
-Stamps
-Ink
-Watercolor pencils and blenders (optional)
-Yellow ink
-Other colors of ink
-Double stick tape
-Scissors

You pretty much have free reign to do whatever you want. The bird stamp is a cute idea, but you can take it in a completely different direction if you want to. Just pick a stamp that you love and stick with it. Or maybe each table will have a different stamp. It's your wedding, your choice! Play around with it and see if it's something you'd enjoy doing...because if you have a big wedding, you'll be making a lot of these.

Vintage Yellow Wedding

From pinterest.comI love these ideas for a table setting and programs. It all has such a vintage feel to it and I love the burnt orange paired with the yellow.

I don't have a detailed DIY for this because I think it is just a great picture to give you ideas. Get your creativity going and just run with it. The idea of this picture is to give you inspiration and see what beautiful things you can create.

The program would be an especially good project for those of you who are good at stamping projects and good with computers, since you will probably have to design this layout.

And it's a lot easier and less time consuming to use this device, especially if you're planning on making a lot for your wedding.

Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispie Treats

This is such an easy treat, like the cake pops! If you like the idea of having a dessert table then this treat is for you. Dessert tables can be a good idea because then you can have a smaller, more personal cake which will be cheaper. Or maybe you just really want to have a fancy cake AND dessert table. And trust me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. (:

I'm pretty sure most people know how easy it is to make Rice Krispie Treats. All you have to do follow the instructions on the side of the Rice Krispies box. Once your treats are made, let cool. Then cut them into rectangle, push a lollipop stick in them, and dip them in chocolate.
