Bristol Raceway!
Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol Tennessee is known as the "World's Fastest Half Mile," with a 0.533-mile concrete oval, 36 degree banking in corners, and 16 degrees banking in the straights. The Bristol Motor Speedway consists of 100 acres.
History & Information Of The Bristol Motor Speedway

Larry Carrier and Carl Moore traveled to Charlotte Motor Speedway in 1960 to watch a race and it was then that they decided to build a speedway in Northeast Tennessee. However, they wanted a smaller model of Charlotte Motor Speedway, and opted to erect a half-mile track instead of mirroring the 1.5-mile track in Charlotte.
The first NASCAR race at Bristol Motor Speedway was held on July 30, 1961, with a seating capacity of 18,000. The Bristol Motor Speedway now boasts a seating capacity to more than 160,000. The backstretch includes three levels of seating and is topped with 52 luxury skybox suites. Country music star Brenda Lee, who was 17 at the time, sang the national anthem.
In August of 1992 Bristol Motor Speedway became the first speedway to host a Winston Cup event that boasted a track surface that was all concrete.
On May 28, 1996 the track's name was officially changed from Bristol International Speedway to Bristol Motor Speedway. By August of 1996 the seating capacity was 86,000.
In 21 of 40 years since Bristol Motor Speedway opened, a driver who won a Winston Cup race at Bristol went on to win the series title later the same year.
