I remember the first time I came to this page, I loved it! And I still do! I remember when I was a child, I had a friend whose grandparents had a pony stable and I used to take a ride with one of them in the countryside...
  • ajgodinho Jan 19, 2011 @ 4:28 pm | delete
LOL, indeed hilarious and very creatively written and presented. I loved all the pony cartoon pictures you sister-in-law Jan sketched, as well as your son's illustrations of Dales ponies...nicely dealt with! :)
  • pkmcr Jan 19, 2011 @ 1:38 pm | delete
Incredibly informative as always and beautifully presented information

What an ace lens, I was laughing my socks off reading it lol! We have a welsh c (welsh pony of cob type) and a rising three year old welsh d (welsh cob) and you are bang on the nail with the cob character *ggg* 5 star lens! x ~Angela~

This is so witty and fun, you must have laughed yourself to tears again and again! Absolutely delightful and I now know things I never knew before. I'm completely comfortable with Scout, no controversy here. I notice, somebody (won't mention who) likes leeks and we all know it, that breath! Thank you for the smiles, my dear!

This is hilarious, I remember watching a New Forest pony walk up to a traffic jam and put it's head through the open car window and harrass the occupants. Very funny
  • aj2008 May 24, 2010 @ 7:09 am | delete
Love it - I have had a few horsey experiences in my time and my daughters have inherited my love of these beautiful but daft creatures. What a great lens (and thank you for the birthday wishes)!

LOL! Naughty and very funny! Love the Lakeland ponies and their literary pretensions!
  • theraggededge May 7, 2010 @ 9:03 am | delete
'Course, I wasn't thinking of you as I wrote that at all. No, definitely not :-)
  • WildFacesGallery May 2, 2010 @ 2:12 pm | delete
Okay this is the most bizarre (and entertaining) horse lens I've ever read. :) Very funny. I had to re-read the first breed profile about it being a drinker just to make sure I read it right.

I think I need a Fell Pony though even if it is prone to poetry and glowing in the dark. I'm so glad you warned me.
  • The-Java-Gal May 2, 2010 @ 4:41 am | delete
I laughed and laughed. So well written. All the way through I was trying to determine which pony I had - he looked a perfect small horse - with real attitude. But he taught me a lot about myself and fear. 5*s

This is five star magic. Every witty word is full of humour and perception. A must read for all kids, not only pony lovers. Inspiring. More please.

Oh, this was too funny. My daughter and I just loved every word and laughed till we cried. We have a pony that is half Welsh Cob and you have described him perfectly. I want to add that his first love is his beautiful hair. :) We love all of these beautiful and funny ponies. Blessed by The HorseAndPony Angel!

I learned to ride on Dartmoor ponies and lived with a Welsh Mountain pony for 12 years. Some ponies.... well they just have issues.
