Brochure Printing Tips

Brochure Printing on the internet is as simple as 1, 2, 3. You search in Google, Yahoo, MSN or other search engine: brochure printing, then comes all the shops offering brochure printing service, and there you go start processing your order.

PSPrint for example, they offer full range of service. Full Color Postcard Printing, Brochures, Stickers, Calendars and More!

But is the process really that simple? Below are some tips in choosing the best brochure printing company on the internet

Tip No 1: Convey a Clear Message

Always follow the basic marketing concept - AIDA: Attract, Interest, Desire, Action

Firstly, you need to attract attention. There are thousands of brochures out there, and why would your prospect read out your brochure?

Be Original and Creative.
Do not settle for the standard fonts that come with your standard brochure design software. Search on the web to find nice, unique, and sometimes free, fonts that will make your brochure stand out. Put in nice graphics too, that will help definitely.

Be Clear On Your Message.
Remember, your brochure is your cost. Be precise in what is it that you are trying to tell your prospects. Give info about your services and how it will benefit the prospect.

Tell Your Prospects What Action To Take Next
Many a times I see brochures that are nice to see, telling me all the nice features I want to have, but the total letdown is: they don't tell me what to do next. Learn from those people's mistakes!
Here's a sample call to action from PsPrint: Save 10%, up to $75, off any product by entering code buynow. By the way, that is a true promotion running right now!

Tip No 2: Know the Technical Details

It's a nightmare if your brochures don't come out the way you design it

Here are the common mistakes in brochure printing:
  1. Wrong paper size. You design it for 8.5 x 11. The printer prints it on 8 x 10. Imagine the horror.
  2. Empty / white spaces in the edges. This is common when you have a very exact paper and graphic sizes when designing, and you put those graphics somewhere towards the edges. The solution: allow for print bleed where you design the brochure with 1/8th inch extra space beyond each edges to allow solid ink coverage throughout your brochure
  3. Blurry images. Be mindful that typical resolution on computer screens is 72 dots per inch, whereas to reach good resolution on print papers you need at least 300 dpi images.
  4. Cheap appearance. Always choose heavier paper (100lb stock paper is better than 80lb one without significant price difference) to appear professional.

Tip No 3: Choose the Best Printer Online

Here's a worse nightmare than No 2 above: Your Brochure Printing does not come out at all!

There are crooks out there on the internet! Always establish the credibility of the printers before deciding your brochure printing. Make sure the printer is a not a fly-by-night kind of outfit.

After you establish that fact, you need to shop around for the best deal available. My favorite printer is PsPrint. Right now their best deal for brochure printing is 20% off, excluding tax and shipping. Go get their promo now by clicking the banner image below:
