I would like you to meet Ginger Hi my name is ginger! I am a Chesapeake bay/lab mix. Is someone else out there like me? I have a mouse in my living room that is driving me crazy right now. We are going for a walk in a minute to check my p mail and see who has been around here. I have cats living next door. Do you want to through my sqeekerball? Did you bring a snack to share? Yes she has ,SHINY OBJECT SYNDROME,. But, that is o.k. for this breed of dog. The Labrador is a large high energy breed and need a lot of attention and constant approval. This can be a real hand full if you are looking for a pet that is more sedate or your home is small. I also have a black lab that is an old timer and his energy is spent. His Idea of a good day is to lie in the sun on his carpet and snore loudly till dinner time and I won't bring it to him so he must get up and come in to eat dinner. Meet digger " whatever Zzzzzzz". Yep that is my love digger dog. He is a very loving dog but he just very old. I got him when he was about two yrs old when I adopted him from the pound. I have adopted both of these dogs from my local shelter for very little money and they were checked for health and clipped from breeding when I feel off my roof severely broking my leg, Digger heard my yelp and came to me so I could put my head on him until help came. I love this dog! I have a reason for sharing this with you.If you decide to adopting a dog please read up on the many breeds of pets and pick carefully. They all have personalities and different levels of training for obedience. Decide if you need a young dog full of energy or a more sedate dog or perhaps a small rather then a large dog. You don't see Paris Hilton packing a St Bernard around in her hand bag. Ask a professional trainer what breed might fit your life style best. Adopting a pet is a life time chose. Just remember what Ginger says" If you don't care about your pet get a cat because they don't care about you either.
What is it about snow and dogs? My dogs love this . even the old timer acts like a pup!
