Paul, of the Lost Boys

Mainly known for his character Paul in The Lost Boys, Brooke McCarter was a model and a racquetball player before turning to acting in the 1980's. Now living in Florida, he's set up his own production company and moved behind the camera.

Who is he?

Brooke McCarter was born on April 22, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA. Named for his father, Brooke grew up playing sports and competing in modeling competitions. At 14 he won a "New Face" contest. He received a racquetball scholarship to Ohio State University but he subsequently dropped out to pursue an acting career in New York.

His first film was 1986's Thrashin', followed by Brooke playing the teen vampire Paul in The Lost Boys. Brooke met actor Corey Haim on the set of the cult-classic and ended up becoming Haim's manager through most of the 1990s.

Moving more behind the scenes, Brooke has established a production company in Florida, where he now resides. He also does appearances at horror conventions.
