Harry Potter's Firebolt Broomstick
First-year Hogwarts students are not allowed to bring their own broomstick. They must first be taught how to fly safely by Madam Hooch.
Harry manages to earn extra status, and more enemies, when his very first flight is so spectacular that Professor McGonagall appoints him the Gryffindor Seeker. Shortly afterwards, Harry receives an awesome Nimbus 2000 broomstick from Professor McGonagall.
Harry's Quidditch career progresses well, and when the Nimbus 2000 falls out of date, Harry receives the state of the art Firebolt broomstick from his godfather, Sirius Black.

Make Harry Potter's Firebolt
(Children should be assisted when using varnish and wood stain.)Either use an old millet broom or make your own using a long, thick stick and a bunch of twigs.
Sand the broom well with fine sandpaper.
Stain with dark wood stain and add some silver paint effects if you wish.
Varnish and allow to dry according to the varnish manufacturer's instructions.
You may want to sand down the dried varnish with an ultra-fine sandpaper and add a second and third layer of varnish to give an extra gleam and polish.
Paint "Firebolt" on the side in silver. And don't forget the unique serial number.
