    The Brother Cadfael series are an excellent set of books and the UK TV Series with him paid by Derek Jacobi who was also awesome in I Claudius was equally excellent

    This sounds like a very interesting series -- I love murder mysteries, and a good historical murder mystery sounds like a lot of fun! It's an interesting coincidence that right now I'm reading Ken Follett's "Pillars of the Earth", that takes place during the same time period as the Brother Cadfael books.
