Being bald and proud
It is common to experience what all bald men who lose hair go through: a personal journey from denial to acceptance, and ultimately to appreciation. The process can take weeks, months or years, but the experience is the same regardless of the amount of time it takes.
Mike Ubl, founder of Brotherhood of Bald People Worldwide, has a passion to use the wisdom he has gained through personal experience to inspire self-confidence and self-acceptance among the bald community, to change public perceptions of baldness, and to build a strong membership for the purpose of gaining influence and buying power in today's marketplace. (For more information on the goals and benefits of membership, click here. ).
Amazingly, some organizations actually view baldness as a "debilitating disease of the spirit." You won't find any of that nonsense on this site! What you will find is:
- Interesting, relevant, one-of-a-kind articles filled with bald information, advice, encouragement and inspiration.
- A V-Blog (video blog) containing entertaining and informative videos.
- A bald forum to get your questions answered.

Four good choices to keep the bald head smooth
Bald Men and Headshavers list their most popular methods of shaving
Do not use a product like Nair. Chemicals like this will burn your scalp. It's not meant for the head!
Here are the most popular choices:
- Multi-blade razor. Mach III or Fusion are the most popular choice.
- HeadBlade. A favorite of headshavers.
- Double Edge Safety Razor. Carefully effective!
- Electric razor. Easy to use.
What causes shaving bumps?
Sometimes shavers get red bumps on their face, throat, or head after shaving. Here are a few tips.
1) Cause - shaving over closed pores. Solution - try using a warm towel in your pre-shave routine.
2) Cause - bits of skin that get run over by the razor. Solution - exfoliate.
3) Cause - ingrown hairs. Solution - try to switch the angle of the blade what you shave that area to shave with the grain.
4) Cause - irritation. Solution - try to slow down, and use plenty of shaving soap/creme.
In my opinion, many people look for a magic product that will eliminate the bumps. It's prudent to try working on your shaving routine and seeing if changing something with your shaving might help the problem.
Realize that most of the anti-bump products (and I'm not saying all) are just high priced astringents. Try to prevent the bumps before you need to use the product.

Wearing a hat has nothing to do with hair loss, though it is true that many people who are balding wear a hat to hide it.

Men's Skin Care
Five ways to protect your bald head and face in the winter
Winter is the toughest time of year on your bald head and face. The cool, dry conditions leave your skin and scalp prone to itching and flaking. The dryness also makes wrinkles more prominent. So don't just sit back and take the abuse! Here are five simple things you to protect your bald head and face in the winter.
Caps. I normally don't wear 'em because I like to show the chrome. But when the temps reach single digits, I've got on my trusty skull cap.
Moisturizer. When the air is dry, protect your bald head and face with moisturizer after you shave. It's a must.
Eating healthy. Eating well is critical for your skin to be able to repair itself properly. You should focus on lean protein, grains, healthy fats and lots of colorful fruits and vegetables each day. Try to avoid high-fat, salty snack foods and refined sugar.
Use a sunblock. Yep, even in winter. Using a sun block daily will decrease damage from the sun's harmful rays, which can thin your skin and make redness more prominent.
Drink water. By drinking eight glasses of water every day, it is good for your skin. Water helps maintain your skin's elasticity and suppleness.
Great products to protect your bald head and face in the winter.
Nivea for Men Face Care Revitalizing Lotion Q10, 1.7-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3)
