Who Is Brunnhilda?
Brunnhilda Quonset is a persona created for living and working in a virtual world known as Second Life. It may seem strange to some, but since I do art and music and am otherwise wildly creative in "real life", putting on another costume and character is not so strange. The "real" me is basically a blank canvas on which to put various masks, anyway. And - in all honesty - "Bru" is oftentimes a truer expression of my real self.
Unlike some in Second Life, the real person has some basic similarities to her avatar, the main difference being physically twenty years older in real life, and much less physically beautiful. Bru is a chance to explore some things that can't be done in real life, at least not with the same immediacy, if at all. She has been a lot about playing dress up and doll house. She's another vehicle for me to express myself with imagery and interactive conversation - a sort of virtual 3-D art journal.
