Welcome
Welcome to the Bruiser Bluegill Squidoo Lens. Our intent is to collate blog posts, articles, news, and videos about Bluegill fishing.
The emphasis is on big Bluegills but we will also include other Panfish like Sunfish as long as they are Bruisers!
For reference, we arbitrarily set the size of a Bruiser Bluegill as eight inches or greater! We chose this as a starting point. As the Lens matures, we intend to reset the eight inch benchmark to greater lengths as appropriate!
We hope Readers' find the Lens informative and welcome their feedback. Do stop by often!
Sincerely,
COAF Field Team

Why Fish For Bruiser Bluegill?
Because It's Fun!
Why fish for Bruiser Bluegill? Pound for pound Bluegill put up a great fight relative to other freshwater fish. More so, when matched to light tackle. But, when a Bruiser takes your line, be prepared for some fun! Moreover, a Bruiser Bluegill may be lurking in a pond nearby. Many times, we have fished a pond that looks barren of fish, is rarely fished by anyone, or holds small/stunted fish.
But, be wary of these locations and don't pass them up.... You may be surprised with a Bruiser Bluegill! Or in case of the picture in this section, a Bruiser Sunfish!
