My Grandmother's Brunswich Stew
I love cooking over and open fire. Building the perfect fire is a great place to start, get some fat lighter then some pine cut into small pieces start it up and pile the logs on. Set up my tripod put my big black cauldron on it and I'm ready to cook. This recipe came from my Grandmother, she cooked it, my mother cooked and I do too. When I received this recipe it was in pecks and bushels, fresh vegetables are wonderful but not always available. So I've converted it to where you can use canned or frozen vegetables. Everyone says this is the best brunswich stew they have ever put in their mouths, but we will let you decide on that. This recipe makes 18 quarts. So get your jars or bags ready, it all depends on if you like to can or freeze.

Old times
Old times, like old friends, are a wonderful taste of life.
Old times, like old friends, the beauty of it, like a rare rose...
They hold a place deep inside of you,
Maybe a small taste of life.
No matter how short or long they were in your life,
They are there to remind you.
Of who you are,
Who you are supposed to be,
The meaning of sharing,
Letting go,
Most of all the loving, caring and understanding that you shared...
It goes through the years, your life with you.
It's nice to have old friends,
Making new ones is nice too.
Life always gives us curves and it's nice to have someone who has traveled with you from somewhere else.
Even nicer to make new ones as we go along life's pathway.
