Bubber Modeling Compound - Toy or Tool?

This is a perfect example of a toy being used as a tool. See more about tools and toys in my lens Creative Tools as Toys. When children are young it's important to use manipulative and tactile items when teaching abstract concepts. Numbers and letters on a page are abstract concepts. They are symbols that we have connected meaning to. This is a big concept for a little one.
So add some Bubber to your list of tools to aid in learning and make it fun.

What Is A Bubber?

Bubber originally came from Sweden. It is a modeling compound which is lightweight, fun to play with your hands and it is also colorful. While it is a modeling compound Bubber is not a replacement for Playdoh. Another name for Bubber is Moon Sand, if you think of molding with wet sand, only cleaner, less gritty, more colorful and sticks together better you will be happy with Buber. It has also been described as a cross between marshmallows and silky Styrofoam.

To enhance the tactile stimulation and fine motor skills of children in satisfying but fun way let your children play with Bubber. You may even want to join them, as some consider it a great stress reliever.
