Bubble Coral (Plerogyra sinuosa)

Bubble coral (or plerogyra sinuosa if you want to be scientific) is an exotic and beautiful coral from the Indo-Pacific region. It's called bubble coral because of the obvious bubble shape of the polyps.

Bubble coral are a unique and interesting addition to a reef aquarium, and although they are somewhat aggressive, they are fairly easy to care for and add new life to any reef tank.

About Bubble Coral

Bubble Coral Information

White Bubble Coral don't require too much lighting or water flow, which makes them great corals for nano reefs. However, make sure to distance the bubble coral from other corals, because it (like many other LPS corals) grows long "sweeper tentacles" that will sting and damage other corals. It does this to protect its "territory" and to ensure it has room to grow.
