Nothing like a long hot bath full of bubbles to cure whatever ails you! I wonder just how much bubble bath is sold each year??

Cleopatra... the beauty??
Actually, from what I have been reading, Cleopatra really didn't consider herself a beauty at all. In fact, she hated her nose. (How this information survived the centuries I will never know) But, there has been a lot written on her beauty practices and several of them have to do with the bath. She loved bathing and would do just about anything to improve her skin. I have read that she would bath in gallons of wine or another favorite would be the milk of mules. I can see how this would benefit the skin but did it work?? Chances are that it did improve the texture of the skin as we still read about the uses of both today. I think that the Romans can out do anyone when it comes to the art of the bath. They were known to linger for hours in communal baths. They even closed deals in a bath environment. Now that is something I have yet to master.
Me... I simply love to sit bath and day dream in the bubbles.
You Could Get Arrested!
Not that I expect you to do this, but I was just reading that it is against the law in Detroit to fall asleep in the bath tub. I don't know who came up with that law, but it has to be up there with those that make you wonder!! I have come close a few times... relaxing music, scented bubbles, but I was too busy eating chocolate lol... yes, I do love my bubble baths. ;)Women's Sampler

Swimming in Bubbles
I was just reading about a beach that suddenly became one big bubble bath, much to the surprise of the swimmers and no, bubble bath liquid was not part of the equation. Here's what happened...The bubbles were created by impurities in the ocean, such as salts, chemicals, dead plants, decomposed fish and excretions from seaweed. It sounded good for a while, but then I went on to read that the current whipped it all up together and voila... bubbles.
