Growing up in the 60's we did not have all the video games or computers, and there were not three or four televisions throughout the house, we had one television and it was black and white and sat against the wall in the middle of our so called family room. As there was only one tv mom and dad made the decision of what we were going to watch,I remember the family favorites were Daniel Boone,Davy Crockett, and The Wild Kingdom and of course The Wonderful World of Disney. I guess what I am getting at is that because of the television shows of Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett, I just thought this Buck knife just had to be the greatest gift I could get. I will have to put it on the mantle just below my flintlock musket.

type=textDavid Crockett, a legend in his own time and since, was born in 1786 in East Tennessee. He grew up in the frontier life with all its danger and chance for adventure. The Creek and Cherokee Indians killed his grandparents before he was born and somewhere around the age of twelve he was basically sold to a cattle drover to help pay off family debts. Davy Crockett ran away from home at the age of thirteen in 1799, after having to tell his father about not going back to school because of a bully.

It is now one of my prized possessions and just one of the reasons I like the Davy Crockett Skinner Fixed Blade Knife, basically just trying to add to my collection.We had to drop the musket down below the mantle to get ready for Christmas decorations.
