Living in Buckner KY
Buckner is a great place to live. Close enough to Louisville and everything a larger city has to offer, but far enough out where things are a bit more relaxed and plenty of things to do. We have golf, swimming, great backroads for biking (Harley's and Schwinns), fishing, baseball and soccer. Tree Swings are still in fashion, too.
Here you will find information about Buckner Ky Real Estate for sale, Homes for Sale, Neighborhood details, places to eat and play golf plus what schools serve the Buckner area. Heather Hill
Great Subdivison with homes 10 years old to 30 years+
Heather Hill is a great subdivision in the Buckner area. It is a one way in and one way out place. It is tucked behind the Oldham County Country Club and Oldham County High School. It is a destination for tricker treaters at Halloween. Many residents grew up in the neighborhood, moved away for school and have moved back to raise their families here. There are 3 sections. The first section has many lots that are close to an acre. Sections 2 and 3 have newer homes from 12-25 years old or so. Lots of trees and great yards. Just a few miles from the Oldham County Campus make it a short bus ride to school.
Some of the houses on Fairway Drive back up to holes on the golf course. It is also about a mile from the Oldham County Aquatic Center and Wendell Moore Park.
Homes are price from $200,000-mid $300,000's

Newer construction with homes from the mid $200's to around $400,000. Some of the houses are close to the interstate, but move a bit away from the main drag and there are some really nice houses on acre lots. Bunches of kids throughout the neighborhood.
Next to Stonefield Trace is Grand Villa. Again, nice one acre lots and homes in the $300's. Homes are 15 years old and younger.
