The Actors' NET of Bucks County

Morrisville, PA

The Actors' NET of Bucks County was founded in 1996 as an actor-driven, not-for-profit regional theatre company -- run by actors, for actors. They strive to attract the Delaware Valley's best non-union talent to work and grow together to meet the challenges of a diverse repertoire. Productions range from modern classics and musicals to Shakespeare and new and original works, each designed to encourage actors to enhance their skills and artistry while appealing to and expanding the theatrical tastes of audiences of all ages, incomes, and cultural backgrounds. They further seek to celebrate the region's historical significance by presenting theatrical pieces which illuminate the issues and personalities that have helped shape our region, commonwealth, and nation. Through staging quality shows and providing training to actors of all ages, they are committed to keeping alive the best traditions of the American theatre.

Artists of Yardley

Yardley, PA

Established in 2004 as an arts organization in the Yardley area, Artists of Yardley (AOY) has evolved with over 150 artists in a full spectrum of disciplines. The AOY, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), is dedicated to nurturing the creative spirit of the community by educating and encouraging individuals to experience, appreciate, and share in the arts.

The AOY adopted the historic Janney House on Patterson Farm in Yardley as their home and art center. Located in the heart of Bucks County, the panoramic views from the surrounding cornfields complement the organization's aesthetic tenor. The AOY engages students from the curious young to seasoned learners with diverse classes in all media, workshops, summer camps, and innovative programs taught by professional-level instructors. They also plan to host juried and non-juried art shows, gallery exhibitions, fund-raising, and social events throughout the year.

Bristol Riverside Theatre

Bristol, PA

Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) is a professional regional theatre in the historic district of Bristol Borough. The theatre, located in a renovated movie house, combines the excitement of a large stage with the intimacy of a 300-seat theater, along with outstanding lighting and sound technology. Since 1986, BRT has brought consistently acclaimed professional theater to Bucks County and maintained a long-term commitment to finding and developing new plays.

Bucks County Historical Society

Doylestown, PA

The Bucks County Historical Society (BCHS), a private nonprofit organization, is a unique cultural and educational institution that operates the Mercer Museum, Spruance Library, and Fonthill Museum. As the County Historical Society, it is charged with collecting, preserving, and interpreting the rich history and culture of Bucks County and the Delaware Valley region. As the primary inheritor of the material and intellectual legacy of Henry C. Mercer, the BCHS is custodian of a regionally and nationally significant collection of tools and artifacts that illuminate the history of pre-industrial America to c. 1850.

Community Conservatory of Music

County Theater

The County Theater is a nonprofit, community-based movie theater that specializes in independent, art, and foreign films.

They are one of the region's premier cinema destinations, offering, in addition to their regular programming, a variety of special events ranging from Saturday kid's matinees to classic Hollywood films. They regularly present local filmmakers and host discussion groups and lectures.

Friends of Bolton Mansion

Levittown, PA

The Friends of Bolton Mansion, Inc is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization established in 1997. Bolton Mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The sole purpose is to restore the Mansion and provide public education programs. Through this, the Mansion will support a wide variety of community activities, as well as enhancement of the quality of life for area residents and preservation linkages for the region.

Historic Fallsington

Fallsington, PA

Historic Fallsington, Inc. is a private, nonprofit historic preservation organization and museum which has been preserving and sharing the 300-year-old village of Fallsington for over 50 years. The organization was founded in 1953 in response to land development pressures that threatened the historical integrity of the village, consisting of over 90 historic buildings from the 17th, 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. The village was significant as a religious, social, and market center for the surrounding community, as well as a stopover point for stagecoach travelers. While in residence at nearby Pennsbury Manor, William Penn attended religious services in Fallsington.

James A. Michener Art Museum

Doylestown, PA

Home to a world-class collection of Pennsylvania Impressionism, the Michener in Doylestown also hosts nationally touring special exhibitions and showcases important regional artists. Additional highlights include the Nakashima Reading Room and the Daniel Garber mural. An outdoor sculpture garden pays homage to the Bucks County landscape.

Pennsbury Manor is the home of William Penn -- America's foremost Quaker, founder of Pennsylvania, statesman, and diplomat.

Pennsbury Manor is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission in cooperation with The Pennsbury Society, a nonprofit membership organization. The 43-acre historic site closely reflects the forty acres Penn himself had cleared. Through tours, exhibits, workshops, and special programs, Pennsbury Manor shares the colonial world of Penn with visitors.
