Budda Cat's Dream Time Wish List

Ranked #6,946 in Pets & Animals, #173,635 overall

Meet Budda! The Wild Faces Gallery, gallery cat.

As Budda dreams of his upcoming third birthday as well as Christmas, all sorts of fun toys and treats dance through his head.

Of course when asked what Budda wishes for most in this world it is things like world peace, ending hunger and finding a forever home for every dog, cat and horse who wants one. But in his dreams his thoughts turn to play time and his favorite activities.

This is Budda's dream time Wish List.

A Little About Budda

My name is Budda. I'm the gallery cat of my human's art business Wild Faces Gallery where I live.

There I provide many important functions such as greeter, entertainer of small children and bored husbands, massage therapist, stress reduction specialist and most importantly, I offer my wisdom on everything art and animal to all who come seeking help in my regular column Ask The Budda. I feel I have been blessed with the ability to help facilitate cat communication with their pets. Oops . . . I meant people. But because God didn't bless me opposable thumbs, my human handles all the typing.

This is a good life of many naps in warm sunny spots, plenty of people and dogs to visit with and a human who I am constantly reminding to take a break from her hard working schedule and just relax on the couch with me for awhile.

How Budda Got His Name
Budda was so named because when he was a kitten he often sat up on his butt, and his little round tummy would stick out. (pictured here with his sibling Little Brother)

Since my blog is about my art and my animals his name was deliberately misspelled in the belief this would prevent a lot of grief for those Googling for enlightenment.

As it turns out, many of the people looking for enlightenment also don't know how to spell it correctly.

Ah well . . .

Budda Loves To Hang Out In High Places

Unfortunately his humans get nervous when he is up in high places. The gallery is rather full of breakables.

If only she'd invest in one of these for Budda.

Budda's Most Favorite Thing In The Whole World Is Being Held

It would make him the happiest of cats if he could just be carried around all day long. It's not that he thinks he should be treated as royalty for Budda doesn't harbor those kinds of thoughts at all. It's just that he loves him humans and would like to be touching them whenever possible. Plus there's just something so comforting as to be nestled against his humans chest feeling their heartbeat. Nothing says love more than that.

Unfortunately Budda has grown into a rather heavy cat and most days he gets carried around for only a few minutes before his humans arms tire out.

If only there were something that would help?

Budda's Second Favorite Activity Is Napping

Budda loves to nap. Whether it be a warm spot in the sun or on his humans stomach while she's napping on the couch.

Perhaps a fancy cat bed for every room of the gallery is just what he needs.

Budda Loves To Eat Fresh And Tasty Green Things

One of the things Budda gets most in trouble for at the gallery is his addiction to eating the many plants that decorate his space. In the past couple of years they have grown from gloriously showy garden of eden to well ... looking a bit mangled.

Whenever he gets caught having a light snack on one of them his human gets very cranky and threatens to spank his Butt cheeks. He usually scampers away knowing this is an idle threat but still it would be nice to not incur his humans wrath and still get some fresh daily greens.

Cat Tunnels: The Best Of Both Worlds

Budda loves nothing more than to hide in dark places and spring out and scare his humans. He thinks it's particularly funny when his human squeals. Budda also really likes crinkly paper noises like with paper bags. So here's the best of both activities. Tunnels that are good for hiding and surprising his prey as well as something to run in and make those wonderful crinkly sounds.

Budda Loves Toys But Here Are Some He'd Love To Have

As a much loved gallery cat Budda is often brought gifts from adoring customers but there are some big toys he'd really like to have.

Budda looks like an absolutely angel. He sure performs a very necessary position in the gallery. What a sweetheart of a kitty.

Never mind enlightenment, Budda makes me smile. Oh what it must be like to be so adorable... and to know it too! He has come up with a purrfect selection.... but really I just want to tickle his belly. :)

Ah, I am smiling -- and a little sad too -- you see Budda reminds me seriously of a little Tigger and Bandit rolled into one ... and I seriously miss all my cats that I left with the ex in Jacksonville. Cats become part of your soul. The other night, I was seriously thinking and talking to Precious the cat. I'm thinking she might have heard me.

Budda has good taste. His choice of toys and activities all look good to me. Hi Budda, purr at you, sounds like you have fun in the gallery. She needs to get you those climbing shelves things. Robert needs to get me one of those too, so remind him.

Hey Robert! Yup, I do. We stack up totes when we get back from artfairs into giant mountains and he loves to be above our head level. He naps up there and hangs out until I put the gallery back together. Then he's back to the couch height. :)
