Apart from being a charming design that has withstood the test of time, it has all kinds of folklore attached to it, and is a very romantic gift. There are some prop replicas of Buffy's Claddagh ring available, but most of them are quite poor quality - but there are also some 'normal' designs that look the same as Buffy's ring. If you don't trust the collectible rings, I have selected some good quality alternatives.

Sterling Silver Buffy Claddagh Ring
Ostensibly a replica of Buffy's ring, this Sterling Silver Buffy Claddagh Ring is the one of two of the only rings on Amazon claiming to be an actual replica, but there aren't any reviews. It looks pretty good though.
Still, it's just a basic claddagh ring, so a lot of sellers may just slap 'Buffy' onto it.
Buffy & Angel Claddagh Ring Prop Replica Set
The official Buffy & Angel Claddagh Ring Prop Replica Set recieved terrible reviews on Amazon, but Buffy fans elsewhere have been happy with it . (Specific complaints are that these are display props only, and useless for actually wearing, and that they don't seem to be sterling silver).
Personally, I'd try and find this collectible cheaply on eBay below, or skip straight past and buy some higher quality, unofficial, but otherwise identical Claddagh rings... such as the ones listed below.

Or would you opt for the unofficial rings of the same design?
Because they used a pre-existing style of ring, along with all its history and meaning, Joss Whedon didn't invent, nor holds copyright over, the 'Buffy' type of Claddagh ring. This means that all the non-official claddagh rings available are just as likely to be suitable, and are often higher quality. They certainly offer more choice in material and price!

Get the Ring Size Right!
Ideally, Claddagh rings are worn as a pair - one for each partner - but you'll want to check your respective sizes! There's nothing worse than buying a beautiful, expensive item of clothing or jewellery, only to discover later that it doesn't fit. Most women's rings are Size 6, and the men's standard is Size 9.
