Who is Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy Summers is a fictional character from Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer franchise. She first appeared in the 1992 movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer, before going on to appear in the television series and subsequent comic book of the same name. The character has also appeared in the spin-off series Angel, as well as numerous non-canon expanded universe material, such as novels, comics, and video games. Buffy was portrayed by Kristy Swanson in the film, and later by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the television series.

Buffy kicks total butt. From demons to vampires to basically all evil, she has fought it all.

Who doesn't love a snarky comment at the appropriate time? Buffy always seems to know what to say and when to say it. It does get a bit annoying at times.

Buffy grew up in Los Angeles, California, with her two parents. When she was 15, she learned of her Slayer powers, and her destiny to fight evil. After too many incidents in her vampire-fighting (i.e. setting the high school gym on fire), Buffy was expelled from her school and her divorcee mother swept her off to the small town of Sunnydale, CA.

As it turns out, Sunnydale turned out to be right atop of the Hellmouth, and Buffy's destiny to fight vampires and evil continued. She made friends with Xander Harris and Willow Rosenburg, and met her new Watcher, Rupert Giles. Together, they formed the "Scooby Gang", fighting evil and stopping hell from rising up into the day world.
