Are Bugaboo Strollers Worth the Money?

My husband was adament he wanted the chameleon, I was put off by the price tag, but he was smitten with the design and ease of steering. I had an emergency section, so it was an absolute god send in the early days as it was so easy and light to push. I also liked it as a travel system as my baby had the comfort to stretch out in the carrycot, but was as easy to steer as a three wheeler. I also like the fact that it can face both ways. I think this was the only travel system which fitted all of my criteria, as well as looking extremely stylish.

On the downside, it is near impossible to access the basket when it is in pram mode. The diaper bag is a design nightmare. The zip is too small and you have to empty everything out of it to find something. In the early days we took the bag out with us religously but it weighs the pram down! Now I take everything I need in a large handbag and only use the bag if out for the whole day, so a complete waste of £70!

It is really difficult to collapse at first and brought me to tears. I was on the brink of throwing it away and buying a £50 buggy from Mothercare! I had to have a half hour lesson from my husband! But now I can do it even quicker than him.

It is indeed a head turner and my son loves it. We have a three wheeler all terrain for dog walking and you can definitely tell the difference! The bugaboo is great for shopping, we live in a town with really narrow pavements and shops with narrow aisles and it has been an absolute godsend.
