Do you want to cut your power bill AND save the planet?

Wind turbines, solar panels and other sources of alternate energy are definitely the way of the future. It is possible to reduce your power bill by generating all your own electricity. Produce more power than you use, and the electric company will even pay you!

Anyone with even the most basic handy-man skills can build a wind turbine - and be generating enough clean, renewable energy to power all your household appliances. And is it expensive? You'll be so surprised.

You've probably come across hundreds of those 'build a wind turbine for under $200' pages. Well, there's a lot of sites that give you the same info for free. I hope to share them with you here.

Renewable Energy Review

If you've been searching for plans or guides to build a wind turbine you've probably come across a million affiliate links to the bunches of ebooks promising you can reduce your electricity bills by 80% etc... They're hard to avoid, aren't they?

While I've tried to fill this page with free wind turbine plans and links to further information, the commercial ebooks do have their place. They information is basically sound, and they have the benefit of having been designed for easy readibility. They are simple, step-by-step instructions and they will produce the results you've read about. (You could dig through the free version too and get the same results, but the commercial ebooks really do make it easier.)

I've read review copies of 3 of those commerical ebooks - and I've reviewed them at Renewable Energy Review.

Instead, it is designed to get your feet wet with the complexities and systems involved with wind power. Its not as complicated as some folks will have you believe.

Some more research

This site offers some free windmill plans - beware, they are by no means as detailed as Earth4Energy's plans, but they are still very educational.

Most amusingly, they were written on a computer that was fully wind powered.
