Think In Terms Of Foods That God Made
If a food is fresh and comes from the Earth, it is food that God made. Food that is man made, from a box, plastic pouch or wrapper and has a long list of added ingredients is not designed to aid your body in becoming and staying healthy. Man made foods simply cannot replace fresh whole foods when it comes to nutrition and often only serve as empty calories along with hazardous by-products. Try to eat alkaline foods to help build a strong immune system. Foods that are acidic (the opposite of alkaline) contribute to an acidic PH of the body that creates conditions vulnerable to toxicity, disease, fatigue and illness.
Some Examples Of Foods That Build The Immune System And Why:
Carrots & Sweet Potatoes - They contain beta-carotene a phytonutrient that increases production of T-cells.
Garlic - Is loaded in compounds that contain sulfur which wards off disease and infection.
Spinach - It's super high in antioxidants that boost the immune system.
Kiwi & Oranges - High in Vitamin C which protects against infection.
Salmon - Among the many benefits of this "Superfood", Omega 3 fatty acids in salmon aid the body to fight infection.
Improve Your Eating Habits
Did you know?
Sugar attacks the Immune System almost immediately making it vulnerable to sickness and disease.
Reduce or eliminate the amount of sugar you consume. The quickest way to reduce sugar intake? Just say NO to soda.
This will go a long way to build the immune system naturally!
Step #2 Reduce Stress
Combat Stress To Maintain A Healthy Immune System
Consistently practicing stress relievers like deep breathing, meditation, light to moderate exercise, even taking a nice long bath can go a long way in managing chronic stress. Be good to yourself when combating stress and your body will reward you by staying healthy and strong.

Prevention With Supplements
It is said by many, that prevention is the cure. This applies to the Immune System as well. Preventing disease and illness from striking is by far easier that combating it once it arrives..
The immune system that is not working overtime is how the immune system is ideally designed to work. Supplements provide the perfect recipe to enjoy ideal health year in and year out.

Step #6 - Choose The Right Vitamins & Minerals
All vitamins and minerals are not created equal. When supplementing your diet, it's vitally important to do so naturally in order to maintain a healthy immune system.Just like the pharmaceutical industry and food industry, if there is money to be made, the opportunity to deceive in order to earn huge profits also presides in the health and wellness industry. Don't become a victim of bad business practices. Not only will your health suffer, but your wallet as well.
Do your research and only choose whole food, natural vitamins and supplements. You might pay a little more up front, but the savings, particularly to your health will pay off big in the long term.

- I thought this post was great! I love that you focused your article on healthy, natural ways to build up your immune system! Other ways (including these) that I have found that really help boost the immune system are staying away from cigarettes, secondhand smoke, and alcohol. Also exercising, eliminating excess sugar and fat from my diet and only using prescription drugs when I absolutely have to seems to really help keep my immune system running in tip top shape! Thanks for the great article :)

- Building up your immune system naturally using whole food supplements is what I have been doing for years. When I was 40 doctors were thinking I was dying, now at 64 I am more healthy now than I ever was. And just because I found a food source that keeps my immune system built up.

- First off congrats on your lens being in the top 5 when I did a search for Health and Wellness on here! Vitamin D also helps with immunity. Also a way to avoid the cold and flu is to always make sure you are prepared for the weather by watching the news cast or checking the weather before you leave the house so that you are bundled up properly.
