Protein is the building block of muscles. With that said, you must be sure to consume 1 gram for each pound of your body weight. This will give you maximal results in a relatively short amount of time (assuming you are working out and keeping an overall healthy diet).

I highly recommend you use protein shakes to get your daily dose. This is much easier (and healthier) than trying to scarf down 4 steaks.

4 Second Cadence

This method is going to give you explosive results in the weight room. Here is what you do:

Take 4 seconds to lower the weight to the starting position. Once you are there, explode upwards as fast as you can. When you are at full contraction of your muscle, hold it for one full second and then lower it slowly for another 4 seconds.

This will maximize the amount of muscle fibres you tear with each repetition. In other words, you will give your muscles more potential for growth in the recovery phase.

Supersets

Supersets are where you incorporate more than one exercise into a set. For example, rather than resting after one set of bench you would go do one set of lat rows THEN you would rest. This increases muscle endurance and muscle tone. I recommend you take 60-90 seconds for rest intervals.
