How To Create Your Own Power

Create your own electricity using wind power and solar power.

A Review of several guides which can help you become independent of the power companies and save money.

Fuel Costs Soar

More People Than Ever Creating Their Own Power Supply

The ever increasing cost of energy is causing people everywhere to seek out alternatives. One of those alternatives is creating their own renewable energy source.
The huge increase in fuel costs along with general living costs has motivated people to look for alternatives, with many seeking to generate their own power.
Official inflation in the UK at over 5% and forecast at 4.4% in the US is hitting consumers hard. This along with unemployment and all the other economic news has driven many to look for areas to cut costs, whilst trying to maintain their lifestyle.
It has been demonstrated that it is possible to create electricity without the expense of professional solar panel installations or turbines.
Several guides showing how to create wind power by building a roof or yard mounted windmill are available. These guides also show how to build solar panels very cheaply using readily available parts. A complete installation need cost less than $200.
The pioneer of the DIY energy guide is Michael Harvey a renewable energy enthusiast and creator of earth-4energy.com. Michael claims that for less than $200 a system can be built which will save 80% or more of current fuel costs. With further additions, greater savings can be achieved and excess power sold back to the grid.
Bill Ford a scientist and inventor from California has also produced a guide claiming similar results to Michael Harvey's. This guide is called "Home Made Energy". Both guides are comprehensive and sell for around $50 complete with diagrams and blueprints.
The environmental issues cannot be ignored. Below is a table showing US energy consumption by source. Note how little renewable energy is.

If we want to do something for the environment and cut costs at the same time then maybe creating our own energy is the way forward.

Wind is a clean, inexhaustible, indigenous energy resource that can generate enough electricity to power millions of homes and businesses. Wind energy is one of the fastest-growing forms of electricity generation in the world. The United States can currently generate more than 10,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity from the wind, which is enough to power 2.5 million average American homes.
