Build A Bed Plans

Before I started using plans for my woodworking projects I used the "fly by the seat of your pants" approach. I basically made it up as I went along and looking back it made life a lot harder than it needed to be.

For one thing a lot of materials were wasted what with cutting timber too short or cutting joints wrong, then there was the overall construction. If it's not done in the right order that throws up a whole load of other problems.

Plans on the other hand break everything down. They will give you exact material amounts for any project, step-by-step instructions for cutting order and construction. Generally making your life so much easier for less than a cup coffee.

Whether you intend to build a bed, chair, cabinet or even a shed working from good plans makes a huge difference to the project. Both in terms of your sanity and the time and effort it takes. If you have never tried building your woodworking projects in this way why not give it a try? It costs pennies/cents depending on what side of the water your on, you have nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.
