Building Backlinks to Your Squidoo Lenses

Your Squidoo account has an RSS feed. The easiest way to find this is to go to Squid Utils sign in using your Squidoo user name and click on the "Lensmaster RSS Feeds" link.

A place you can submit all your RSS feeds is RSS6. You will need to create an account here but then you can submit as many feeds as you like for free.

The best thing about RSS6 is that each feed you submit creates an individual webpage, that you can then promote by pinging if you wish - this isn't essential and this site creates great backlinks which get indexed in the Search Engines rapidly.

Then all you need to do is go back to rss6.com every few weeks and update your feed (click one button) to show your most recently built/updated lenses.

There are several sites that have been set up specifically as directories of Squidoo Lenses. You can use any or all of these for links but I have found the most effective one to be Squidom.com.

First of all and most importantly, you can only use this method if you own a self-hosted Wordpress blog.

Install this plugin on any blog you own and you can submit 550 links - for your Squidoo lenses, your own sites/blogs, your Hubpages, your articles published on article directories or whatever you like - if you don't have 550 different urls to submit you can use the same one several times. Each link can have 3 or 4 anchor text keywords and be put into different categories. Your links then appear randomly on the 11,000+ blogs in the network in the form of a blogroll link. These blogs are all owned by different people using the plugin so will be on different hosts/servers, in different countries and on different ip addresses so there is a great deal of link variety. In return your blog will show 10/12 links in whatever category you choose to other people's sites.
