I Can Build My Own Row Boat And Let The Dream Come True

How often have you been daydreaming and thought to yourself "maybe I should build my own row boat!" I know I had been thinking about it for years before I took the big step of actually doing something about that dream. I decided to get dome good solid Dory plans and early last fall I began building my own Dory boat. :)

When I Build My Own Row Boat I Will Need Tools

What are the bare essentials

After doing some research and discovered that to build my own rowboat I would at least need the following tools:

- Electric Drill
- Handsaw
- Good variety of clamps
- Measuring tape
- Hand plane
- Electric sander (Can do it by hand.. but huge work)
- Hammer
- Skill saw

And its also good to have these tools

- Jigsaw
- Table saw with dado blades and the works

Luckily for me I have most of the tools and the rest I can rent for short or long periods of time from my local harware store. I guess it also depends a bit on the type of boat you want to build what other tools you might need.

To Build My Own Row Boat I Need Good Plans And Instructions

You just don't start building a boat unless you have a blueprint and directions!

When i decided to build my own row boat I first had to decide what kind of boat to build. After some researched I found out that there is a huge variety of plans out there and picking the right boat and the best plans is not as easy as it may sound.
