Real Estate Web Design - More than Just a Pretty Face!

Choosing an approach for developing or updating a real estate website is the key first step in the process.

First, you should review your alternatives.

Second, make a list of the capabilities/features that are most important to you. Here's our list of real estate website design requirements to give you some ideas.

Third, make sure you take care of website basics, such as offering a way for your visitors to search local listings.

Fourth, implement strategies to generate Internet leads from your site.

Brand Your Real Estate Website

and, Brand Your Business!

Can you think of one company that doesn't have a brand or a logo? I can't. After all, how could we refer to a company if it didn't have a name?

Since both brokers and agents are running a business, you both need a brand - especially on a website where you're not there in person to say hello and explain how you can help your visitors.

Real estate broker and agent brands work together very effectively, since agent brands increase the agent's visibility, and that is nothing but good news for the broker.

Your brand is not just the name of your real estate consulting business. After all, what's in a name? The most important part of a brand is the definition behind it. You can't sell something if you can't describe it.

So, start with a definition of your competitive advantages and your Unique Selling Proposition. Then, worry about your brand name and logo. Just don't fall into any of the personal branding traps. Remember, no one ever bought a house from a fish!

Once you have a strong brand definition and a logo, you're ready to create a strong brand for your website, and to write a compelling marketing message that will make you stand out from the crowd in the competitive real estate industry.
