Increase online traffic – Receive free traffic to your website by using Social Media

Now there are many different free methods which you can use to increase online traffic to your site if you do it the right way. One of the methods I have found to be very successful is using Social Media.

If your website receives a limited amount of traffic, eventually your website will die. You don't want that happening do you? Your answer should be no and if it is, continue reading and you will discover some tactics that you can use to drive free traffic.

One of the best ways to increase online traffic to your websites is by using articles which you have published to drive users to your site. I'm going to explain how you go about this.

All you have to do is publish fresh new content that is not a duplicate of any kind. The information you publish must be your own work or something you have the rights to! If you plagiarize the search engines and the social media sites will destroy your articles!

If this happens then your chances of receiving traffic decreases DRAMATICALLY! One day you could be receiving say 50 hits a day from these articles then after your articles are scrapped your back down to 3 hits a day.

I would like to point out if your business is only just starting out it is not likely you will receive 50 hits a day straight away.

The two main websites that I recommend you produce articles on are sites such as this one and HubPages. Both of these websites produce great rankings in the search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Live.

First make sure you read all the terms on both of these sites before you start posting. I recommend you only link to your own websites using the link lists on these sites.

You can also produce articles on websites such as Digg and Stumbleupon. What these websites offer are rating tools allowing readers of your articles to rate the information you provide. Now the higher your rating is the higher your article is ranked on the specific websites.

With Digg if you receive a high amount of 'Diggs' your article has the potential to appear on the first page giving it a tremendous amount of traffic. These websites also rank well in the search engines.

The way these articles can be used to increase web traffic is to link to your website naturally in your articles. If you have content that isn't helpful and you just spam your links to your website you won't receive many visitors and your article may be deleted.

Now I would like you to go and start writing some articles on a subject you have a passion for. Make sure your content is helpful and unique! I can't stress that enough, it is vital if you want to drive traffic to your website.

Don't stress if you don't have enough time to write articles, you don't need to have much time in order to write some articles.

After you have written a few articles, start publishing them on the sites I have recommended. Also another tip is re-write the articles you write but make sure they are reworded.
