7 Things I'd Do to Build My Agel Business That Your Upline Didn't Teach You.

I came across a business called Agel about five years ago.
I did not join Agel at that time and to this day I am not a part of Agel. However, I have friends who are very active in Agel. There are many things I like about Agel. In fact the only things I don't like about Agel is the same thing I don't like about most mlms they build with old school techniques and toy with peoples dreams and emotions. If you can find a way to build you business other than these old school techniques you will be much more successful in Agel.
I am convinced that you will not be successful in Agel by making a list of everyone you know, rating them according to how much money they have, how entrepreneurial they are and how much influence they have.
Does this method sound familiar? It should. It is what everyone in your Agel upline has probably taught you.
Here's the list of 7 things that your Agel upline wants you to do first when you join an Agel Business:
1. Register and save your place in line because it is going to explode and you don't want to miss out.
2. Order your first Agel product, because you need to be active and you need to become a product of the product or you won't be successful. (Of course they want you to order a case of product because that is how they make money.)
3. Write down your why and keep a reminder of your why close to you. (This step is actually important. It is always good to have a strong motive to motivate you in the tough times.)
4. Make a list of everyone you know. Rank the people on that list according to their influence, money and entrepreneurial spirit.
5. Contact those people with the highest score and invite them to a tasting party or give them an Agel Gel sample.
6. Find and sponsor your 2 within the first 48 hours of starting your Agel business.
7. Teach your 2 to repeat this exact process. Duplication is key.
This is an ok process, but this won't work now days. If all you do is follow this "system" that your Agel upline has taught you then the only people that will succeed are those that have a large circle of influence and can come in instantly making money. Those people are few and far between.
Also, if all you do to build your business is what your Agel sponsor taught, "just follow the system" they said, you will end up failing miserably and you will be the guy that all of your friends and family make fun of.
Here's the list of 7 things that I would do first if I was an Agel Distributor and they are not what your upline wants you to hear:
1. I would join Agel as a space saver only. In other words I would just pay the $40 to become a distributor.
I would only buy the product at this point if I want to test the product and I have the money to do so. If that's the case I will buy the product and test it while I prepare my marketing strategy.
2. I would become a student of not only network marketing, but marketing and internet marketing as well.
Your Agel Upline has always said "You have to be a product of the product." This is true, but your product is not only Agel Gel or Agel Body or Ageless. Your product is also marketing and more specifically network marketing. So if you want to be successful in your Agel network marketing business then you must become a student of marketing and then you must teach others how to market. So first become a student and a leader of marketing.
Add as much value to yourself as possibly and you will begin to magnetically attract paying customers and active distributors into your Agel home business.

3. I would learn what a funded proposal is and figure out how to use it in my Agel Network Marketing Business.

4. I would create and implement a system for marketing my Agel business and generating leads on auto pilot.

Social Media Marketing Does Not Work. Post 1
I once saw an article title "Social Not-Working" and it had a twitter badge that said "Come Waste Time With Me on Twitter."
That was clever, I thought, since I often feel that way as I hang out on twitter, facebook, cafemom and others.
So is Social Media Marketing a waste of time?
I some times feel it is. I am constantly looking for quality training on how to use the social networks effectively.
A while ago I came across this video by Perry Belcher. I thought that it was a good video to help a person get the overall picture of what their mindset and strategy should be when approaching social networks as a marketing channel.

Where's the Nuts and Bolts?
I'm constantly looking for the nuts and bolts. I don't feel that I have found it all, but I am finding bits and pieces of it and will gladly share what I can.
This video you just watch is great from a broad overview of how we should approach social media as marketers, but we sometimes need the nitty gritty. We sometimes need to be taken by the hand and told, here's what works and here's what doesn't.
I'm still in search of good training on this so feel free to recommend resources to me.
Twitter, Here's my system.
I'm going to share with you my twitter system now. All I ask is that you share some of what you have learned and what is working for you in the comments section.
Now, this system is constantly changing, but I try to use twitter consistantly, but not for long periods of time. I recommend using twitter every day for between 15 to 30 minutes. Some times you will use it for more than that depending on what you need to get done.
I recommend using it every day because consistancy over time is where you will see results. I recommend using twitter for short periods of time because it is easy to waste a lot of time on Twitter.
Here are a few things I try to do everyday on twitter.
1. I try to find like minded individuals and I follow them.
2. I try to interact with them by commenting on their tweets. I try to network with those individuals.
3. I research what is hot in my industries and niches and sometimes blog about that or create training and or marketing materials around those topics.
4. I post tweets with links to my sites, landing pages, special offers etc. This is my advertising.
5. I ask a lot of questions. I try to create interaction between me and my followers.
