Children can make apple people showing how they are feeling with a happy face on one side and a sad or angry face on the other.
2. Make apples to show attendance. Each child makes an apple face and then writes their name on a bowtie attached to the bottom of each apple. Each morning the children who are in class place their apples in the apple tree. At the end of the day all the apple can be picked and placed in a basket by classroom helpers.
3. Make apples with the answers to math problems. Make leaves with numbers to solve the problems. Children place the leaves on the apples to show which numbers add up to the number on the apple.

One year I started a Frog Pond Theme on the bulletin board but got interrupted before I had a chance to add all the lily pads and Cat-O'-Nine tails. I had left all the materials out along with the scissors and stapler.
When center time came the children spread out across the room to work. What a surprise when I saw two children had taken up the task of finishing the bulletin board. Ever since that day I have always had helpers.
Bulletin Boards can be made from recycled art work. After the children have finished displaying their art work have them add it to the recycle box. Whenever you start a new bulletin board use pieces of paper from the recycle box, cut them to shape and soon the art work has turned into a new masterpiece.

A bulletin board can depict plants and animals the might be found along the trail. You could make it interactive by using separate pieces of cardboard to post each of the animals. When you lift up each animal you could read facts about that animal's habitat and habits.
