The Beginners Guide to The US Stock Market

When I first started looking into the stock market, I was scared! Everyone told me it was too risky. Well, of course it was risky! To them and me, because neither of us understood it and then we would be fools to think we would be any good at it without any sort of preparation.

I invested in a wealth creation course and learned about things like Financial Wealth & Emotional Intelligence. The more I learned, the more people told me I was taking a risk. A big Risk! Why? Because I was doing something they didn't understand. I didn't either, at first, but after a while it was easy going and No Turning Back!

They told me it was too risky. Someone tell me. What is Risk?

"Risk, my butt", I thought. Warren Buffet once said "Risk is NOT understanding what you're doing " and that really makes good sense. Think about it! If you don't know what you're doing, are you going to be a raging success?

Of course not!

How can you say the Stock Market is risky? To whom? To the uneducated, sure. But not to the educated. Imagine sending your 5 year old brother onto the highway on his bike. Would you call that Risky? Hell Yes! It would be madness! However, how risky would it be if you went on your bike on that same highway? How long have you been riding a bike?

Does that sound scary? I didn't think so.

Same playground. Different Scenario. Hmm. Something to think about!

Does that mean that the Stock market is not risky to some people just because they chose to educate themselves about it? Just like the bike rider on the highway who had 20 years of experience?

Too many people are telling me the stock market is risky. I disagree. "It's only risky for those who shouldn't be there". And that's the people who aren't stock market educated.

So I wrote a Book about the Stock Market and made it Free

I wrote The Bull Hunters Guide To The US Stock Market and made it available to anyone who wanted it. I made a stock market glossary so beginners could have all stock exchange terms explained. A real basic beginners Book for people who know little or nothing about the market.

That was just before Christmas 2006 and in one month I had over 1000 copies downloaded without trying. So I thought I need to do something more to help. How about a stock market blog?

The Bull Hunters Guide Stock Market Blog

The testimonials I got were fantastic. I was humbled to hear from Australia, The US, Nigeria, South Africa and other places. I'm now working towards the next edition. That one will be Free too.

I hope it will educate a few people out there to understand their fears.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards

Discuss the Bullhunters Guide

The Bullhunters Guide Blog is a place where excerpts from the e book are discussed to help the readers understand the insights in regards to what the stock market is, is a share just a piece of paper, how is a share valued, the components of the DJIA right through to Investment Strategies and some more Advanced Strategies.

Essentially, it is a guide for you to utilise in learning more about the US stock market and starting to think about putting a very basic trading strategy in place.

Please note that further education is the key as you will not learn how to trade just from my e book. It is meant as a reference for you to have on hand and get involved in the discussion on the blog. This is how to learn. By taking action and getting involved.

I found that being active helped me immensely to learn further what I needed to in order to do some live trading. The the wealth creation course certainly gave me the direction I needed to follow in establishing myself as a successful trader.

The Bullhunter Drives Across the Nullarbor

2 weeks off from the Stock Market

5.45am Tuesday morning, I jumped in the 4WD with my 2 sons and drove to Streaky bay in South Australia. We made it as far as Caiguna on the Nullarbor Plain, approx 1300km down the road. Another 1000km was left to drive the next day. Last time I made this trek was 12 months ago and I have quite fond memories of my stock market experience at the time. It was the best dollar return I've had for less than 1 week trading with options.

Let me share it with you...

The Day I Fired My Boss

It tool me two years to achieve this and this is how I did it.

I posted this letter in the Wealth Creation SuperHighway Forum after achieving a goal of replacing my income through various investment strategies thanks to participating in the Jamie McIntyre Homestudy program. I acheived my financial target 6 weeks short of schedule on the 8th of December 2005.

"The only reason it took me nearly 2 years to fire my boss was purely because that's the time I set for the goal. Had I set a 1 year target, I have no doubt that it would have been acheived in that time " - Sean Rasmussen July 2006

So here's the letter I wrote on that day

Retired to the Stock Market

We Have Stopped Work

This is a testimonial by 2 dear friends in Perth. I've known them for about 12 months. Their journey to retiring from their dayjob needed little more than determination, passion and ofcourse the right strategies. You know where the strategies came from, don't you?

Thank You to Jamie McIntyre

I have to mention in here as this book would not have been written without him. My finances, confidence, personal life; everything has improved dramatically since I did the in January 2004. Of course, I thank Jamie for introducing that opportunity to me.

I have a video of Jamie McIntyre just below this so you can get a idea of who I am talking about. Please order your free copy of the DVD in its entirety

Emotional Intelligence

What is Emotional Intelligence anyway?

Dictionary meaning of emotional :

actuated, effected, or determined by emotion rather than reason

Dictionary meaning of intelligence :

the faculty of understanding

Jamie McIntyre states in his seminars that the sign of intelligence is the ability to entertain a new idea.

If you are a trader already and have money in the stock market then you know how you react or respond when your trades don't happen the way you want them to. It is just a matter of learning from your trades and not being attached to them. It is a good idea to have some money to donate so that when the market... []

Bullhunter Discussion

Although the ebook is a summary of the goings on of how the stock market works and how a share is valued, this tool is useful for the newbies starting out in the stock market and wanting to develop a trading system that will work for them. So let's look at Intrinsic Value and Time Value and how that factors in to trading options.

Financial Intelligence

How does your Financial Intelligence rate?

... cannot give advice on how to invest your money. What I can do however, is share with you some insights of what Jamie talks about in his best selling book What I Didn't Learn at School but Wish I Had. After all, I wouldn't be writing this blog if I hadn't become a 21st Century Academy Graduate :) And, if you are investing in the Stock Market and trading successfully...
