Free Bum Marketing Method Tips

For those of you who don't already know. They call it Bum Marketing because it is so easy that even a bum could do it!

Ok guys lets jump right into it! The first thing you need to do is go to www.clickbank.com and register an account.

Then reason I choose Clickbank is because it has the highest commision rates (amount you get for selling). Most people who start Bum Marketing almost always use clickbank (I still use it myself).

Another place you could check out is www.cj.com (Commision Junction). CJ is sort of like Clickbank but has a crappy selection of products.

Ok now it is time to pick a niche! Go to the clickbank website and up at the top click on Marketplace. This is where you will find all the products clickbank has for you to promote.

Example: My first niche was World of Warcraft. Why? Because I have a great knowledge of the game and I knew that I would be able to write killer articles on the subject.

Ok so take some time and pick your niche or just pick a product or 2 that you may be familiar with or want to learn more about.

Here are a few example niches to get you started

1.Learning Languages
2.Recipes
3.Software
4.Health

Ok now I am going to discuss how you should promote your product. There are a few ways you can go about doing this.

1. You could use a free blog from these 2 sites:
blogger
wordpress

2. You could go ahead and get a domain and webhosting (domain will cost around 8-10 dollars and webhosting will cost around 6-15 dollars per month depending on which one you use)

I use Host Gator for webhosting because you can pay each month instead of getting a yearly or 6-month plan.

3. If the first 2 options just don't seem good enough you can always just make an account with squidoo and make a lens.

Ok so while viewing clickbank products, if you look under the product you will see that there is a view pitch page, and create hoplink option.

The pitch page is the page you will bring your traffic to from your blog/website.

TIP: When selecting a product reivew the pitch page and ask yourself if it seemed interesting. I have seen some pretty crappy pitch pages before and this will decrease your sales if you get any at all.

Ok so your hoplink is your personal link that goes to the pitch page and without this hoplink you are just directing people to a product without getting your share of the commision.

Click on create hoplink and a window will pop up. All you have to do is type in your clickbank user name and hit create hoplink and it will generate your hoplink code. Then just copy it.

TIP: When pasting your hoplink make sure your reader sees something interesting like CLICK HERE. To do this just type in CLICK HERE, then highlight both words and hit hoplink, then paste it and hit ok and it should be clickable!

Ok so now that we have our free blog, website or squidoo lens, then its time to get some traffic (get peeps to view what your selling).

My main method for getting free traffic is through article marketing.

Article Marketing is writing articles for online article directories and posting your product page in the resource box of the article.

NOTE: In my honest opinion an article should be no less than 300 words and no more than 500 words.

The other 2 article directories I use (not to often but sometimes) are Searchwarp & Goarticles.

Ok so we need to learn how to write articles now, but before we do that lets look at some basic keyword research!

Let's go to Google and type in Learn French.

If you do this correctly you will see that there are 9,170,000 sites on learning French.

Now type this in "Learn French"

Now the results should be around 1,620,000.

Using quotes on the keywords you search for on Google will determine the amount of competition you're facing.

Let's look at some Key words that have very little competition.

"Learn French - Tips" - 695 (very low competition)
"Learn French Fast" - 25,000 (a little to much but possibly)
"Tips on Learning French" - 216 (Best choice? Probably)

Try to stay in the lines of 1,000-5,000 competitive sites that way you get ranked good on google.

By doing this you are researching the best Titles for your articles to make sure they will get good results on Google. If you wrote an article in the Bum Marketing Niche and it was titled Bum Marketing then you would be wasting your time completely.

Another thing to remember is always make sure your keyword research is relevant to what you're promoting. Don't make a website about saving money and then write an article on ways to spend money.

Ok so by now you should know how to setup some sort of site and market a product on it. Lets talk about goals.

Once I figured out how Bum Marketing worked I would take 5 products in a particular niche and market them all at once to see which one was selling better. I then went all out on the ones that were getting me sales and just focused on those.

Another goal for you would be how many articles do you plan on writing a day. When I first started writing articles I found it to be alittle Difficult. I did read this book:

It helped me write good content about any subject. I can now write an article in about 10 minutes using this method!

Make sure to set your goals to your liking. Don't tell yourself your going to write 100 articles a day if you can't.
