Burberry Brit Perfume

Burberry
is a brand that's been around for years. It was made famous by
supermodels like Kate Moss, but is now considered to be one of the Chav
(or Charva as us northerners call it) designer brands. The likes of
Daniella Westbrook gave Burberry a bad name after decking themselves
out to the limit in the checked material. Burberry Brit perfume was
introduced by the design house to the market in 2003, so it's a
relatively new perfume.

This is a new discovery of mine,
and also another purchase from my recent holiday. I purchased his while
in Tenerife and it cost me 29 Euros for the 30ml bottle which works out
at approximately £19.83. It's available in most stores
including Boots.
The rrp price for the 30ml bottle is £23, meaning my saving
wasn't
actually that big. It's cheaper on www.fragrancedirect.co.uk where you
can pick it up £17.50, but bearing in mind that's without the
postage
and packaging costs. I paid about the average price for it. Body lotion
and bottle wash varieties are also available in the range and company
the perfume well. To find yourself a good deal on this perfume try Ebay
or a price comparison site which will help you find the cheapest
stockist on the internet.

The packaging and actual bottle
give you a very English feel, it makes me think of Michael Caine and
walking round London for some reason. The box is a traditional blend of
the Burberry checks and sophisticated text. The packaging looks
expensive and looks as though it's been hand made, although I doubt
very much that it has. The bottle sticks with the checked feel but
doesn't have the red and black part of the pattern, it's just a squared
off glass bottle with the checks covering it in white. It has quite a
manly feel to the bottle and is very plain and simple with very sharp
corners to the lip of the bottle! I bought the 30ml bottle and it looks
quite sophisticated on my dressing table. I'd say looks wise it would
be more suitable for the more mature older lady.

Right,
the important bit, the smell. It's a strong quite heavy scent. It is
definitely not the sort of perfume I'd usually go for, but after
smelling it in the shop I was impressed. It is a musky scent but not
musky as in your gran's favourite perfume, but musky modern. It's a
classic and sexy scent, giving a sophisticated feeling to the wearer. I
always feel a bit special when I wear this, and a bit posh! The perfume
has notes of Italian lime, Icy pear, white peony and essences of green
almond and sugared almonds. I can also pick out the scent of vanilla
some sort of oriental scent. The scent lasts very well on your skin and
there is no need for re application throughout the day or night.

I'd
definitely recommend this for the modern mature woman. Probably aged 25
plus. I'm 21 and I like it, but I wouldn't say it was anywhere near
being one of my favourites. It's suitable to wear at any time of the
day or night, but maybe would be better for evening wear or special
occasions as it could be a bit too strong for the office. It would
probably make an ideal gift for a birthday or Christmas as it looks
expensive and would look great on any woman's dressing table.

Overall a nice perfume that lasts well. It's definitely worth having a
spray when you're in Boots!
