Burlesque Short Hair Styling | The Finger Wave

So many people are glossing their hair today, and you can actually have this done a few days ahead of a special event, and it only gets better as you try it and let yourself learn how your hair responds to products and temperature. The key to successful waves, is to have very wet hair, and use a good quality styling cream to ensure the style stays put. If you do not use the right product for you, the wave will fall loose, and you will look like you have dirty hair.

So, start with the cleanest head of hair you can, use some great styling creme, and a nice wide toothed comb. You will part your hair on the side, and work with the front first. As the hair is wet, and styled with cream, comb along your scalp, and then plaster that section to your head. Go back and comb, stop where you want a wave row, and place your finger there. Then, like you are teasing a long strand, push the comb back into your finger.

Now, here's the tricky part. Not letting go of your finger, comb your hair down. You just made a row. Continue by adding another finger, pushing into it, and see how high your little furrow can be. The trick is add a finger, push into the finger and the hair with the comb, and then do another row, by combing down. Anyone can do it, and it just takes practice!
