Burning Spear

Burning Spear grew up in the parish of St. Ann's Jamaica which is the same musical hotbed that produced the great Bob Marley and the Wailers.  It was Bob Marley himself that sent Burning Spear to Studio One where he made his first recording of "Door Peep" in 1969.

Three things you may not have known about Burning Spear.

1.) Burning Spear is probably the most respected roots artist of his generation and has toured and recorded consistently for the last 25 years.

2.) Contributed a track to the Grateful Dead tribute album, 'Dedicated'.

3.) Converted to Rastafarianism after seeing himself reflected in his bathroom mirror as a Rasta.
