Bushwalking @ Burralow Creek
Ranked #18,009 in Travel & Places, #419,576 overall
Walk with me...
... to Burralow Creek, to the Burralow camping ground and to the beautiful Bulcamatta Falls.
Things to bring along: a bag, water, drinks, food, suitable pair of walking boots and a camera <- don't forget the camera.

Where are we going?
Say Goodbye to the Car
I don't own a FWD yet

Had to say goodbye to the car, the track from this point on is a bit dicey and generally only suitable for 4WDs and a decent wheel clearance.
There are easier (but longer) ways to reach the Burralow Creek Camping Area such as the Patterson Range Fire Trail - I've been told the Patterson Range Fire Trail is more gentler on non-FWD vehicles, but I still think a FWD is recommended.
Still, for the purposes of this walk, we'll start walking!
Grey Skies, but beautiful views
If you can see the wilderness for the trees

A camping ground all to myself
Where is everybody?
In their defense, it had been raining on and off for the past 5 days.
Picnic
So if you're like me, and having walked approximately 4 kms up and down a fire trial, now is a great time to take a break and have some lunch. On todays menu: bbq chicken and mayonnaise sandwiches and some TImTams.
I took a nap at this point, the sun was starting to peak through the clouds, warming me, whilst occasionally getting a fresh cool breeze.
Ranger: You alright mate?
Me: Yep, just taking a nap.
Ranger: No worries!
I didn't even notice he'd pulled up. Refreshed and newly awoken, I proceeded to the Bulcamatta Falls track.
On the way to Bulcamatta Falls
Barefoot bushwalking FTW!
If it were a little dryer, one might manage to cross the Burralow Creek without wading. After 5 days of on and off again rain, that wasn't happening today - I was going to have to get my feet wet.
Off with the boots, off with the socks, and fold my jeans up over my knees. I'm sure I looked a bit silly, but as I mentioned before, there wasn't anyone around, I could have done this in the nude.
One of my favourite things about the Bulcamatta Falls track is how easy it is, after the fire trail it is a treat.
But one of the main things is the Bulcamatta Falls itself:

How beautiful is it @ Bulcamatta Falls?
I wish I could say

Hopefully this picture helps.
Now for the hard part
saying goodbye
and walking back to the car.
But I'll be back and perhaps do an update - if you've got any great links, stories, handy tips related to bushwalking and Burralow Creek - please stop at the guestbook on your way out!
Cheers!
Andy
