Public Relations and Promotion Pages Blessed by a Squid Angel

Welcome to my "neighborhood"--Business and Work>PR and Promotions

Need to learn more about Public Relations and Promotion? Then check out Squidoo Topics and How to Use Them (Business and Work). You might want to change the topic for some of your lenses that would be a good fit for this area of Squidoo.

I am a Squid Angel flying over the PR and Promotions neighborhood of Business and Work.

I am sure I will be learning a lot about Public Relations and Promotion on my flights. I will only share what I have found to be worthy of your time.
Honest.

I have been a Squid Angel before (Being a Squid Angel) and have seen the good and the bad that is published here on Squidoo.

Be fore warned--I am a picky angel. I will ding the bad and will bless only the good! I have my eye on you!

If you would like me to consider your lens in Business & Work (PR and Promotions), feel free to submit your lens in the Guest book (I ask you to sign in) below.

What This Squid Angel Does:

Helps the Squidoo Community by blessing worthy articles.
Helps the lensmasters by acknowledging their great work.
Helps this Angel's attitude by seeing what is wonderful on Squidoo.
Dinging the unworthy--and I WILL do that.

So, what is unworthy to me?

1. Lenses with the avatar still in the Squidoo Default.
2. Bio still in the default "Hello world...."
3. Lenses that need a lot of proofreading--grammar and spelling mistakes need to be corrected.
4. The lens offers no information except as an advertisement for the writer's business - The "Here's a lens just to link you to my site" type of lens
5. Recommended sales items are unrelated to the lens topic.
6. If a lens has no "guest book" or way to contact the writer, then you are most unworthy of a blessing from me.

Plagiarized content. Even if you "cut and paste" from your own website, I look kindly on unique content. In other words, please try to change up your work some. Even Google and Bing like you to do that, too.

Not giving credit where credit is due--always, I repeat ALWAYS give an artist, writer or photographer credit! Even if you find an image on Microsoft Clipart, tell the reader. It is only fair. It is only right. I even give credit to my own images and register them with Creative Commons.

Learn to Squidoo:

Desire to create a top lens that deserves a blessing?

How do you get to the head of the class? Study, study and more study. Read, read then read some more. My first lenses were awful! I have learned to make my work better by reading other lenses (usually found in the top 100) and emulating them. I have also read some books about the subject of creating lenses as well. You might find a book on Amazon that will be perfect for you. Click one of the titles below, see what you think about it then browse more Squidoo-ing books.

By the way, thanks for visiting this Squid Angel's lens.

Lenses in the Business and Work Category--PR and Promotion: worth your time

This is the neighborhood on Squidoo that I have been assigned to patrol.

I will be adding pages as I find the worthy ones! These lenses are getting a back-link from me when I post them here. Remember to let me know if you think there is an article (lens) that I missed that should have received a blessing from this Squid Angel. Put the link in the guest book ! Thanks!

Lucky Leprechaun Blessings

A special quest on 3/17/2011

For St. Patrick's Day, Squid Angels were given a special mission to bless 20 or more lenses. I decided to find the best pages on Squidoo with an Irish theme and give them a Lucky Leprechaun blessing!

Here are the 20+ that I found worthy.

FYI: on April Fools Day 2011, I blessed more than 25 lenses. Wow, my wings hurt.

Squid Angels On Squidoo:

Promoting Squidoo

See what other angels are blessing. A lens has to be pretty special to get a blessing. What does a blessing do? Well, it gives your page a quick boost in the ranks. It does not last forever, thought. You need to keep updating and making your lens creation even better. Also, sometimes an Angel will give that blessed lens a back-link that will help it get found by Google.

By the way, I blessed these lensographies.

Put the link to your lens that you want blessed in the space below. Remember, I could ding it, too. Make sure it is a "worthy" lens. You could also put a lens that you think I should look at--even if it is not written by you.

This is a guest book, please sign in, if you will. Also, Squidoo members, don't forget to rate my lens with a thumbs up. It is great PR for you!

Saying hi and thanks. I'm far too new to Squidoo to rate an angel blessing... there's always something new to learn and I've got a long way to go, but appreciate the addition of those 2 books. Definitely going to check those out.

Keep studying the lenses that have gotten blessed and learning from them! You will eventually get one if you produce a great and unique lens.

Very nice Angel lens. I wish you well in your public relations and promotion neighborhood. Never thought about it much before, but what do you do about images you've created or pix you own? ...I normally don't credit myself, but I guess that could leave folks wondering whose image it is...
  • Mickie_G Aug 30, 2011 @ 1:16 pm | delete
I like to credit my own images just in case someone wants "borrows" it without my permission. Some of my photos I am quite proud of and I want to give myself a "pat on the back".
