2008 IRS Mileage Rate
An increase to 50.5 cents per mile
The new rate was released on November 27, 2007 in IRS News Release No. IR-2007-192. The IRS mileage rate for 2007 was 48.5 cents per mile for business miles driven. The IRS mileage rate for 2006 was 44.5 cents per mile for business miles driven.
