Helping Hand to start a business online

When I first came on to the internet I used it for everything but starting a business. Hearing my brother say that he was creating a business online aroused my curiosity. At that moment, the creation of my business started. I had quite a clear idea about my own shop. But - there was a problem. The company I had chosen to become a member of, offered me a webpage template with a very ordinary, plain design, with just few instructions on how to go about it. Nevertheless, every month my account was charged with $50 for something I was unable to take full advantage of. As a matter of fact, I did not have the slightest idea on how to prepare myself for the task of building my website. I was making no progress with it.

I started to lose money!

It took me a few weeks to cancel my membership due to countless phone calls I made with nobody bothering to answer. At this point, few months of my hard work were simply written off.

I finally realised that for all those magic possibilities, quick ways to get rich, many gurus and geniuses ready to coach me, and the worst of all - for so much money spent by me in that online jungle - I simply felt cheated. I felt awful. I started to question myself. Why am I not doing as well as others? Maybe it was too late for me to learn - the theory supported by my family. Only my son was enthusiastic about my attempts to succeed.

So, I tried, and tried and tried...

I was a total novice. Instructions and advice given to me were too advanced for me. For example, I did not have the slightest idea what was the meaning of abbreviations like SEO, PPC and PLR... I had no idea how traffic worked... how the squeeze page worked or auto responder... I had no knowledge of processes involved in creation of a proper business... I could not follow any seemingly straight instruction. And I was too shy to ask questions...

I felt very lonely, yet, thinking that probably the other 95% of online business seekers felt exactly the same. Looking back now I understand what I should have done at the very beginning. I needed someone to explain me the whole process step by step...

I NEEDED A GOOD TEACHER!

From "knowing" I needed a good teacher to actually finding one was another story. There are, of course, hundreds and even thousands of gurus, advisers, coaches and other self-proclaimed mentors ready to advise and teach online for quite handsome money. There is a very common idea that to do a business online one does not need special skills. WHAT NONSENSE! To run any business you need to be a skilled and educated specialist in your area. You cannot run a bakery, if you don't know how to bake bread. You can't run an online business, if you don't know how to create your own website, how to do the squeeze page, how to publish and advertise it. Everything has its own little secrets, and the knowledge of those secrets is essential.

So, what have I learned from my mistakes?

To be a skilled, knowledgeable online entrepreneur you first must learn. It is neither a long process nor very painful one. I can assure you can succeed too, as I did. That's for sure!

When you create your first own website, you will not only be very proud of yourself, but you will also start to earn money, instead of losing it.
