Buster Keaton, A Man Of Perfect Timing
Given name is Joseph Francis Keaton Jr.
Born on October 4, 1895 in Piqua, Kansas
Died on February 1, 1966 in Los Angeles, California
His Parents were Joseph and Myra Keaton
They were medicine show performers and Buster got an early start in show business. He was use in their acts as a small child in which he had fun. Buster did many acts with his Dad. Buster got the name Buster from Harry Houdini when Buster was around a year old and he had fallen down the stairs and was unharmed. When Harry saw this he said "what a buster your kid took." Harry Houdini and his wife were Buster's Godparents.
One amazing story about little Buster was when he was around three years old and he was upstairs by a window in their home and a cyclone sucked Buster out the window and took him in the air and landed him safely in the street about two blocks away.
A quote from Buster. "Tragedy is a close-up; comedy, along shot"
